LRS-150-12 150W 12V 12.5 Amp Enclosed Switchable Power Supply

Top quality power supply. I have been using this power supply for my Kenwood NXR-810 UHF GMRS repeater for nearly two years. Performs flawlessly.

Silent (no noise), easy to mount, perfect for running my led strip lighting. Turns on and off fast with outlet remote control. Adjustable output voltage to fine tune led brightness.i also got the RS-15-5 just for display cause its so cute and tiny.

Works like a charm for LED lights and it has plenty of voltage trim on it to adjust the lights up and down. Mine doesn't seem to get too warm of have had any issues yet running near 9-10amps of load from nearly 120ft or so of LED lighting. MeanWell is a decent value brand of PSU units, specifically went with this over some of the lesser known ones for this reason. They are a very reasonable price for a least a half decent reputation in the industrial power supply world. So you won't go wrong with this I think.

I bought this as a 12V driver for a number of Echo Dots mounted in-wall throughout my home At 1.25A per Dot , that is only 6.25A (max) for 5 Dots, so plenty of overhead in this nice Unit. Overall I'm pretty pleased - it has a nice form factor and dual +/- outputs; I do appreciate the LED that shows when it is powered. There are a couple of minor things that could be improved: The first is the lack of a cover strip for the Terminals - the 120V terminals are exposed and particularly the Line terminal is at the very corner where you would screw mount it. I'd really like to see a cover strip that clips over the exposed terminals, just for additional safety. The second is possibly just this module - it 'buzzes' - I think it's the transformer resonating. I'm not too worried about it as it goes inside a wall (behind a removable panel) but still, should mention it. But I'm still pleased with it - it's a nice little supply at a great price.

Well built - I had a look inside in the process of isolating the AC-input terminals. Regulates nicely, at least a 60% load doesn't perturb the output voltage more than 0.1V if that. But like many of its cousins, AC input is on an exposed barrier strip right next to the outputs. I've had some of these that provide a modicum of protection via a hinged plastic lid, but these do not. Five stars anyway because I don't give much safety credit to that lid. Of course you can use them the 'right way' inside a sealed box (remembering to deal with the thermal consequences); I prefer to isolate those terminals and add a solder a power cord to the connections internally.

I have purchased several MEAN WELL power supplies. They have all worked well. Although not "premium" components, they are solid and seem well made. They cool themselves effectively and provide the rated power. A great value for what you pay for it.

Powering two digital 100 watt amplifiers for a small home made home theatre speaker. Excellent quality power supply with high quality internal components. There are some electronic supply shops in my city that use and sell them because of their quality and reliability.

If your building a project or upgrading machinery meanwell power supplies have always been my go to brand for long term use. The LRS are the low profile series for limited space applications. Not much more I can say, they work as expected. However, one of the 3 I ordered showed up with a burnt terminal. I don't know if this is amazons fault for shipping a used power supply to me, or from the factory.
