Perfect Gift for Kids Who Love Planes!
I picked up the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Aircraft Race Plane for my nephew’s birthday, and it was a total hit. What I love about this set is that it’s basically three toys in one box. He first built the race plane (the spinning propeller is super fun), then quickly wanted to rebuild it into the jet, and later the helicopter. It’s like getting three different gifts without having to spend extra. The pieces are easy enough for a 7-year-old to handle on their own, but still challenging enough to keep him focused and proud of the finished models. The moving features, like the propeller and rotor blades, make it feel more interactive than just a display set. Speaking of which, once he was done playing, he popped the plane onto the stand, and it looks great on his shelf. Overall, great value, lots of playtime, and the perfect gift.

Versatile Sky-High Fun for Young Builders!
The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Aircraft Race Plane Toy (31160) is a total blast for kids who love aviation adventures—my 8-year-old couldn't put it down after building the speedy airplane first, then transforming it into a sleek fighter jet and finally a cool helicopter, all with just 160 pieces that snap together like a dream. The designs are detailed with spinning propellers, adjustable wings, and even a mini drone accessory, sparking endless pretend races and rescue missions that kept them engaged for hours without frustration. It's sturdy enough for rough play but light on the wallet at ~$10, and the step-by-step instructions are kid-proof. Perfect gift for 7+ boys and girls who dig creativity over complexity—highly recommend for rainy days or as a travel toy!

Use App & Keep Extra Pieces Safe - Preschool Build
Lego always delivers. Great small stocking stuffer Lego set. Keep directions for 3 in 1 and make sure to download app and scan QR code so you have guided step by step instructions with each build. Then it saves in your account too. Fun activity with preschooler. 3-4 yo needed some help but having the app on really helped him identify pieces he needed and where they go. App has fun graphics and animation too throughout build accomplishments and saves it to your account for future rebuilds. Make sure to keep extra pieces safe that aren’t part of each particular build. I like readable zip bags and then cut out cardboard picture on front of box for kid to reference. Keep booklet if you prefer paper instructions to phone/tablet app. Pretty easy build and age appropriate with some guidance.

Great for all ages!
As a fully grown adult who absolutely bought this LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Aircraft Race Plane “for the kids” (by kids I mean myself), I can confidently say: this toy slaps harder than a Lego brick to the foot. Right out of the box, this thing is a blast. You get to build not just one, but THREE different aircraft models: a race plane, a jet, and a helicopter. That’s three times the fun and three times the opportunity to say, “Wait, where did that piece go?” while crawling around on the floor like a detective on a mission. The Race Plane is sleek and sporty with all the zoomy vibes of a Red Bull stunt show (minus the existential risk). The Jet gives off serious “Top Gun but made of plastic” energy, and the Helicopter is delightfully chonky in a way that screams “trust me, I’m safe.” Build quality? Excellent. Instructions? LEGO’s usual IKEA-level clarity (but with pictures that don’t make you cry). It’s also the perfect size to display on a shelf, or to dramatically swoop across the living room during conference calls when no one’s looking. Big bonus: it doesn’t require batteries, doesn’t make noise, and won’t try to connect to your WiFi. Just pure, wholesome, clicky-brick joy. Would recommend for kids, adults, bored engineers, nostalgic millennials, and anyone who thinks planes are cool.

Great for young kids
Great for young kids. My 6 year old was able to make it on his own without help and plays with it. Good value for money as well. The lego can also be converted into 3 different models, so the kids remain interested to build something new with the same toy.

Fun build, kid favorite
One of the smallest Lego sets my toddler got for Christmas but it was his sure favorite. He flys it around on the standard plane build, but occasionally will stick a ton of random pieces to the wings for an adventure. First toy that deviated him from being purely a “car” kid.
