Product Description The Lifemax Anti-tamper Care Alarm is a versatile alarm system to prevent the risk of falls. The alert sound on this robust care alarm can only be silenced using the supplied reset key or by infrared remote control. This eliminates the risk of the alert sound being turned off by the user before the caregiver attends to them. This reset operation has an adjustable stand-by time to prevent the alarm sounding while the user is being repositioned and the infrared remote control has a unique 4 digit pin to eliminate interference from other alarm systems.The alarm sound is activated when the magnetic pull cord on the Lifemax Anti-tamper Care Alarm is removed from the main unit. The clip on the pull cord can be attached to the users clothes if they are in a bed, chair or wheelchair and if they were to get up, the pull cord will detach from the main unit and sound the alarm. This function can be particularly useful if the user is prone to wandering. The Lifemax Anti-tamper Care Alarm can also be used as a bed or floor sensor when the optional sensor mat (available separately) has pressure applied on or off.The housing on the Lifemax Anti-tamper Care Alarm has rubberised corners to protect the item against damage caused by dropping on a hard floor. The Lifemax Anti-tamper Care Alarm uses 4x AA batteries or can be powered by a mains adapter (neither included). There are 2 alarm tones and a silent mode for use when this alarm is connected to an existing nursecall system via a nursecall connection cable (not included). This allows caregivers to receive a remote alarm signal that assistance is required.
