The 40 projects are classics and the measured drawings are complete. If you complete all 40 pieces of furniture, you will belong to a group of master cabinetmakers. In this printing the photographs are not the best as it is hard to see many of the details -- thus, the four star rating. The earlier editions contained better renditions of the photographs.

again this is one of several of this authors books that I am very happy to now own. My desire is to build a Secretary. I presently have information to proceed. This book adds a very nice addition to my sources.A previous book by this author offers plans for construction a loom (Making Furniture Masterpieces). To do what I want to do all I need is time (money ,space, source of materials also will help)

I guess some people really like this book. Like the other book, it has an attractive cover, but inside...lacks. The drawings are hard to understand, of not the best quality and would have expected more.

BEWARE Item #30 Spice Cabinet is depicted having doors on outside of frame. Dimensions and illustrations are inaccurate. The depth measurements are 3/4 inch short and will require significant rebuilding to correct if not known from the beginning.

Great book with lots of details!

The projects are great and beautiful. Personally I am missing a bit more detail instruction for building the pieces. Also the pictures are black and white and difficult to see. It would be A great book if they just would remake the pics
