Caught 8 groundhogs so far!
Nice little traps. Got invasive groundhogs all over the yard eating my vegetable garden. I've caught a few of them with these traps. It's easy to set up and bait. (Pretty sure these would break your finger if you catch yourself so don't be dumb and you won't have issues). It's made solid and has a strong clamp. I have wooded stakes I used in the chain holes to keep them from running off with my traps. All in all I'm very happy with these. Exactly what I'd expect from a trap like this.

Strong, Well Made
I don't have a lot to compare these to. I'm not an experienced trapper, but got these seeking to get into the field with my boys. These traps are very strong and certainly have a lot of holding power. I read that you need to leave them out to get a little worn/rusty before wary creatures will come near them, but they have worked on possums and raccoons already. Not sure if they'd fool or hold a coyote or a fox, but we're still trying. At the end of the day they work well, strong build, and do the trick. Just be careful they don't snap on you.

Quality traps
I ordered these traps to get rid of opossums but I guess they left before I set the traps. I learned they don't stick around long. These are well made traps that can catch any varmit.

its ok
these are ok made but not the quality you see in others. they are a bit over priced and i would stick to other brands.

Strong traps
These traps are super well made, sturdy and tight. My husband is keeping them as a last resort to catch what we think is a mole in our yard, so we haven't used them yet. They look like they will do the trick though and are no joke. If you want to get rid of a small varmint, this trap is definitely capable.

Small animal traps
Very well made heavy duty toe hold traps. Catch anything as small as a mole or rat and as big as a whistle pig, raccoon or opposum. We keep having groundhogs get under our porch and have babies. It's hard to catch them in the cage traps so, fingers crossed, if we get any this year, these will take care of the problem. We set them and test the trigger, it didn't take much pressure at all to snap it.

Qualirey Small Animal Traps are Effective! I already caught a Troublesome Opossum
The first day after receiving these traps, I was able to capture a troublesome opossum that goes around the house every night. Opossums can carry diseases like leptospirosis, tularemia, and tuberculosis. They also host parasites like fleas, ticks, and mites, which can spread to my dogs. Over the summer, this opossum was raiding my backyard garden and taking bites out of melons and tomatoes. This is a "leg trap" and does not typically exterminate its victim. If that is a problem, then you might want to try other capture techniques. These traps are nicely finished clean silver metal (not painted). So expect them to rust... The Amazon.com description says, "our raccoon traps come in a classic silver color, blending seamlessly with any environment". Environments where one would find raccoons, opossums, and armadillos are usually wooded, foliage-covered areas or lawn, not a silver metal scrapyard, so I don't know how the silver color "blends seamlessly". In fact, one might do well to spray paint these traps with some camouflage color rather than leaving them bright silver. That would also prevent inevitable rusting.

Good survival item for long trail hiking
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the "Qualirey 2 Pack Small Animal Traps Animal Outdoor" to keep in my pack for long trail hikes in the mountains in case I got lost and needed to last a while in the woods. I also have a few snares as well. These are relatively light weight, appear to be galvanized to prevent rust, and snap like crazy under very light pressure (see video and picture). These are a tried and true design several decades old, and they just work. I recommend stepping on each side at the same time and setting the trigger with sticks (never putting your finger in the strike zone). These are perfect for rabbits, squirrels and raccoons. Be careful, and mark your traps so unsuspecting people don't accidently step on them. Place your bait before setting as even small pressure will set these off. These may seem a little expensive, but they are quality traps that are hard to find these days. Definitely recommend.
