Tanach: The Stone, Student Size Black Hardcover – Student Edition, 1 Oct. 1996

I bought this as my local Chabad told me to get it. It’s a lovely Tanakh with some commentary but it perfect to read the pasha each week.

Purchased wrong size,I had ment to order the large size,but the student edition is super,I thought the print might be to small to read,but no problem!It is easy to hold to read,Love it,best error I have made this year! Will order large size another time.Very happy with this edition.

As stated. Some may find text too small but okay for me.

This Tanach is simply a vital study tool for anyone wanting to understand more about Judaism. As this is an Artscroll book, there is little more to be said - a treasure!

Together with its Annotations, brief commentary, awesome translation, and complete fully punctuated Hebrew text, with Masoretic Notes, this is the Ultimate Tanakh to have on your bookshelf. It includes detailed charts, tables and maps, that make this an indispensible reference piece. In fact, as far as Bibles in general go, this one is tops. The workmanship and joy can be seen in this work, and the editors certainly deserve praise. This is firstly a Jewish text, and and that the Translation follows Orthodox (traditional) approaches to scripture. The translation is accurate, and highly readable, especially for prayer purposes. The annotations, although brief aid understanding and meaning of the text.I also recomend the "Stone Chumash" by the same editor and publisher, and the Koren "Jerusalem Bible" ISBN: 0873069994 as excellent additions or companions to aid study of this most important work.
