Good boards, firm but easy to sculpt/cut
These TAIANJI polystyrene foam boards are good. Well made, flat, square and firm yet easy to cut or sculpt. These are for a hill on a new train layout so ideal. They are to be glued using PVA glue and then painted using acrylics - nice job for winter months. Priced at £15.99 at the time of this review for 5 boards = £3.20 each.

Excellent foam boards for model making
These are nice quality foam boards that at this thickness are particularly suitable for making bases. Easily stick together using wood glue (do not use solvent based glues as they react with and dissolve the foam). They’re easy to cut, carve and sculpt with a sharp knife/scalpel. The best thing about them is they’re easy to make impressions in using texture rollers, and retain the pattern for e.g. cobblestones.
