These window restrictors are a must-have for any home with children. The keyless design is easy to use, and they provide peace of mind knowing that the windows are secure. Highly recommend for child safety!

Been through a good number of these items in the past and this one is a little different.There is only one installation option and this is to screw the restrictors into the frame. This can be an issue as the screws were too long for our windows as behind was metal. I am not sure jhow you can check this prior to drilling a hole but it is something to be aware of if you intend to use the supplied fixings. Naturally using shorter screws will compromise the strength.The restrictor wire is a lot thicker than the ones I already have and this means that it is less flexible. You will notice this when closing the window of when putting the restrictor back on on a closed window.It is made from all metal compared with some of my plastic restrictors but I have not had issues with these so far but I feel these look a lot better on a window due to the slim size which can be a benefit on some narrow frames.We have bottom outward opening windows and installing this would be straight forward but the single way the restrictor locks means that the wire can only be parallel to the two installation screws which is not ideal for out installation as I would have preferred the wire to rest vertical between the two installation screws. It is for this reason only that I chose not to install these for these windows as it would mean the wire entering the side of the adapter rather than from the bottom.This is a very good product and I would have happily install these if only the restrictor wire was able to be attached in a different position.

These are good only for stopping people in general messing about with windows as long as you are regularly checking the window. If you are buying these to prevent a child from opening then please do be careful, if the child is quick to figure out problems then it won’t take them long to learn the thumb turn.In terms of construction, the steel plastic coated cable is certainly strong enough and are supplied with 45mm screws, although these may a bit OTT for standard uPVC windows so do check your window thickness in case you end up screwing all the way through.They do serve a purpose, but for the standard home owner I personally would look for a keyed system.

You do need to drill them in, but at least that means they're really secure (compared to adhesive ones). I wanted them on my front/bedroom windows so I could sleep with them open overnight and not worry about 1. dogs getting out and 2. creepers getting in. These achieve both objectives perfectly, highly recommended.

First of all, my windows are white and so I ordered the corresponding colour but received brown instead. I tried to install, but for something that looks so simple, I really struggled. There were no instrutions to follow and wouldn't recommend this product.
