In an effort to be healthier (myself and the family), I began adding ground flaxseed to the honey-wheat loaf I make every few days. Eventually deciding to grind my own, I bought a simple coffee grinder (basic Amazon one at the time for $20) and decided on Golden flaxseeds over Brown flaxseeds (taste is the same, and both are similar in nutrients, with the exception that Golden has more ALA/Omega 3s and Brown has more linoleic acid/Omega 6s). When I initially added the ground flaxseeds, the resulting taste was delicious! Adding a slight nuttiness and a touch more tender from its oil. However, when I switched to this whole flaxseed and grinding as I needed, the loaves came out even better! The nutty depth was a bit stronger (being a very palatable flavor, it was delightful), and the fresh flaxseed oil made it so squishy and soft - like white-bread-soft. All without losing body and its light crusty outside. I've been using this product for over a year and it's consistent (ie, taste, quality, packaging, availability). Which is all I can ask for! Note: You have to grind whole Flaxseed! Whole seeds go right through you! :P

First off I really like these flaxseeds. I’ve been putting 2 heaping teaspoons in my hot or cold cereal every morning. They are very fresh. I grind a cup at a time in my Nutri bullet and keep them in the fridge. What I don’t like is the price has gone up $2.00 in less than two weeks when I bought these. UPDATE: Since these have gone up in price I have gone to another organic brand.

I'm on a blended diet because I have a feeding tube in my tummy. As a result much of my food comes from nutritional shakes which have a tendency to block me up. However, if I blend a nightly smoothie made with cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, fruit and 2 Tablespoons of whole golden Terrasoul flax and water I wake with an urge I haven't had in a long time. I use a Nutribullet blender and it comes out smooth and silky, with absolutely no lumps.
