Roll the dice and take a CHANCE! DHL spoiled the fun!
I am an ageing ex-Brit, and in an effort to add more fun and joy to our lives, we invited some friends to play board games. One game, Monopoly, was a stable in our youth (and the only acceptable version ran from Old Kent Road and Whitechapel to Park Lane and Mayfair!) But this version is hard to find here in Canada so I bought it from Amazon UK. We have played already and enjoy it again! Excellent! The game is reasonable priced made pricier with shipping (assumed to be from Amazon to my home). But using DHL as shipper added an unexpected extra cost for "clearance". I have bought many items from abroad, all are shipped by postal services and arrive by Canada Post without incident or additional cost (unless imported goods high value attracts import duty). This item should not have had import duty (the value was within our import allowance and there is actually a tax holiday on games right now). But DHL held my game in ransom until I paid their gross service charge for doing nothing - not even noting that these goods are tax exempt. Disappointing to say the least. FREE PARKING turned out to be not so free!

I did not realize that the English version, vs. Spanish, meant that the game was largely British..

Exactly what we played with 30 years ago!! Everything is as it was down to the top hat and racing car. The tray makes it easy to deal with money and property deeds
