I read this book as kind of a supplementary material after reading and studying the author's nonfiction book "Anatomy of a Premise Line" but got hooked by the opening. It was a quick, enjoyable read. And yes, the author practices what he preaches! It was a highly entertaining, highly effective story. I'm usually good at guessing endings, but this one was a surprise. I won't say more because -- well, no one wants spoilers.

This is an interesting and visual story. I greatly appreciate the information Jeff shares in ANATOMY OF A PREMISE LINE and wanted to see how he used it to write a story. Both books are impressive and instructive.
