Pot lifting bands
This product was helpful for lifting big pots. Will definitely need two people with one on each handle. Easy to store away and clean if needed.

Good for lifting heavy objects with irregular, semi-rounded shapes. Would be better over shoulders.
This mover is good for lifting heavy objects with unusual, irregular, semi-rounded shapes - things like heavy plants and some landscaping stones. However, because it has hand straps, it's still limited by arm strength. It would be much better if it used a shoulder strap/harness setup, and transferred the weight directly through the core and legs, which would also free the hands to steady the items. I'm leery of the quick-release buckle breaking, as well.

No instructions....
Fortunately I only encounter this rarely, but I am always stunned when a manufacturer sends out an item without instructions. And they are definitely needed for this set of straps, as they are only useful if one knows how to use them with large planters and similar landscaping items.

Don't bump heads
It is so nice to not be bumping heads with my partner as we lift our large pots together. It makes lifting and crab walking together much easier. Easy to use, sturdy. Different color straps or buckles would make it a little easier to attach, all that strapping can get tangled. Worth the effort to use this though.

Different colors are needed for the straps
Most of my larger containers are 20-25 gallons and when I first saw this, I didn't think it would fit around them. It does fit them very nicely. The problem that makes this annoying for me to use is all the straps are the same color and getting them untangled and around the pot doesn't seem to get any easier regardless of how many times I've used it. If the hand straps were one color and the main wrap band was another color it would really add value to the product.I like how the straps go around the planter and can be sized to the main rim. When some of these planters need to be moved in/out of the greenhouse, they are a challenge to even move them to my low bed cart or to my plant hand truck. I loop one set of the handles through the loops of the opposite handle (see picture) and I can easily slide the planters around without cracking or damaging the rim or having to bend over/reach down to grab the top rim. These lifting straps don't have any of the "refrigerator lifting strap" features that allow you to "lift with your legs".

Written instructions woud be helpful. Hard to use with tall pots (ones heavy enough to need this).
We have some heavy planters and my back is not in the best shape. So, I thought we could use these to more safely lift and them around. To my surprise, these straps did not come with a single instruction. We looked at the pics and video on the Amazon page and those gave us an idea of how it shold work. So, we got an empty box and figured out through trial and error how to lift that. Then, we tried it on a tall heavy metal planter. Perhaps we still don't know how to set the straps but the tall planter almost fell over when we lifted it. The straps did not go up enough on the sides to support it. While saving the tall planter, I pulled my back a bit (exactly what I was trying to avoid). Then, we tried it on an 80' bag of soil (one where we had already used around 20 pounds.) We somehow managed to get the straps underneath and cinched down. We then tried to lift that. The bag tilted so one side bulged out and it slid through the opening between the straps and fell. We managed to lower it in time to keep the bag from spilling. So, in neither case did this prove useful. This is going in the "good idea but not ready for prime-time" bin. It may be useful for moving around never opened bags of soil, compost, and rocks, but I have a wagon for that. I will probably ask gardening friends if they want to give it a shot as otherwise, it's going in the trash.

Makes getting plants inside at the end of the season MUCH easier
I have a few large potted plants that love to be on the patio each year, but can't take the cold of our winters. Getting them up steps and into the house for the cold season has been a huge production involving makeshift ramps and a lot of cussing. My husband and I just toted all three big pots into the house in about five minutes, max. It's pretty easy to get the straps into place. If you're moving a container that flares, you may be able to skip the bottom strap(s). I like that there are adjustable snaps--they make it easy to take the straps off once the pot is where it needs to be.If you've got something unwieldy that needs moving, this is a great option!
