Excelente método para estudiar Latín. Hans Orberg la sacó del estadio!!!
De manera sencilla pero profunda, este método te lleva a conocer el Latín de manera rápida y con muy buenas bases. No sé si hay algo parecido para estudiar Griego Clásico.

Great Text, Fairly Difficult
I purchased this book after working my way through all of Wheelock's Latin, as well as LLPSE Pars 1. I had also dabbled with the Oxford Latin course, and done some other side reading. Working through each chapter is, I admit, a challenge at first, and I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the companion book; it will save you a massive amount of time and any number of headaches. Even with my level of experience, and the companion, each chapter still takes me a couple of hours to get through, at least. This is mostly because of having to learn a lot of new vocabulary. My process essentially goes as follows: read the companion book's section on grammar, taking notes. Then start reading the chapter, one paragraph at a time, looking up (either in a dictionary or on Wiktionary) any words I do not know, and keeping a vocabulary list. I review vocabulary at the beginning and in-between sessions.Following that procedure the book is very comprehensible, and I've found myself reading faster and faster, although the vocabulary is still slowing me down considerably. Overall, however, its a great text: entertaining, and with a really stable learning curve. Making the jump into unadapted texts has been excruciating for me, but this book has, so far, been making the task relatively painless. Highly recommended.

Good Work
If you already know LLPSI and Orberg you won't need any more explanation than that this is just what it says it is.

The LLPSE books appear to be works of art/love/incredible intellect
But, how do you make Roma Aeterna work for you?I am a self-study student, retired physician. Before starting Roma Aeterna I had almost finished all of Wheelock (plus Workbook, plus Scribblers, Sculptors and Scribes) and the first LLPSE book. That, starting at zero knowledge of Latin, required of me 2-4 hours a day, essentially everyday, for 15 months.Even with that, I do not find Roma Aeterna easy. Because: 1. the sentence structures becomes increasingly complex. Like, wow, complex. 2. Increasing vocabulary, with no Index in the back like Pars 1. 3. by intent, the author is continually bringing in new gramatical material, while weaving the (now substantial) past material and vocabulary in new ways. Thus, you never fully, finally, "get -it" and can't ever just cruise along. This is how I approach the material. I read the chapter over the first time, looking at the marginalia, and trying to get basic understanding. I, at times, use a dictionary (Cassell) (!) I recommend doing that (and Wiktionary) (!) I don't write any English in the book. But I like to know the derivations of new words, sometimes, and if I guess completely wrong about what a word means and totally lose the sense of what I am reading--not helpful. I am doing this for fun. Then I read the appropriate chapter in the (separate book) Compendium. The writing is a little stiff, and a tad defensive (since they are explaining things in non-Latin, which they seem to think should not be needed), but helpful. Then I look at the chapter video on their web site. Usually about 15-20 minutes long. Excellent. Always points out quirks and sublteties I missed. As I hinted in the headline, the gentleman who wrote this must have been brilliant--why miss out on bits of his cleverness.?Then I reread the chapter at least one more time, more likely 2 or 3 times more. I try to then understand why each word looks the way it does, and what it does in do in the sentence, and to thoroughly understand the meaning. (There is no key/translation of the chapters that I know of--in this case I understand an prefer that, as it would very much undermine the spirit, and even the usefullness, of the series.) Even at the end of this process, it can take me 2-3 hours to read through a chapter. Once the chapter is thoroughly consumed move on to the next. There are 35 chapters in this book. It clearly takes a commitment, but I enjoy it.I hope my explanation of what I do gives you an idea if this book is for you.(I had the soft cover, which was fine--accidently put this review on the hard cover edition)

Terrific work
This series is an excellent way to not only learn Latin, but to solidify its understanding. I can’t recommend this series (along with Henle’s) highly enough.

Amazing content. Book arrived with bent cover but good enough.
Amazing amazing books. Making learning Latin so much easier. Book arrived with a couple small marks/bends on the cover. Which really upset me at first, but I decided to just deal with it. Amazon, please protect your books better! Keep them sealed in plastic wrap and then sealed in some container! Please!

Love the content. Love the quality of the product as an object. Dog-eared!
I am very keen on these books having been working with ‘Pars I’ for about eight months. I’ve also invested in the ‘Exercitia’ and the ‘Companion’ to both I and II . I’m an autodidact and tend towards perfectionism. I treasure my books and take great care of them. I read a lot. Keeping the books pristine takes continuous attention to detail and concentration BUT I feel this is an intrinsic part of the learning process. After all I’m aiming for perfection in my Latin just because… aren’t I.I received three of the series today. They arrived in separate packages. All three were dog-eared. I probably won’t send them back, as I don’t want to wreck the environment, but I know that I shall be bothered by their condition for a long time. I would NOT have bought these copies from a, bricks and mortar, book shop. This reminds me that one of the other of the series also arrived in such a condition and I kept that. I’ve bought quite a lot of books and have usually preferred to order such that the product was dispatched, etc, by Amazon. I’m thinking of changing this as it looks very much like their standards are slipping. If I were to liken Amazon to an on-line grocery supplier I’d say that it’s worth noting that they are sending bruised fruit more and more often. A bit shoddy really IMHO.If your learning Latin I highly recommend these series. Not dry or stuffy. Engaging.
