Bough in 2019 and it's still going in 2025! Best of the trimmers I've had!
This trimmer has been really high quality, I've been using it for close to 6 years and it's working perfectly fine. Some of the plastic attachable guide combs show signs of use but still usable. If this one ever breaks I'm going to buy another one from Wahl!

Absolutely superb
Despite the fact that there is no mention in the marketing that this can be used for head hair it gives the best buzz cut ever. I did read somewhere on the Wahl website that it was suitable for "mini haircuts" but can't actually work out the definition of a "mini haircut" ! I would suggest that Wahl update their marketing strategy for this product as it's advertised as a beard/body trimmer only.Ignoring the beard trimmer application as I don't have one, I wanted a trimmer capable of giving a quick "1 or 0". This trimmer does it perfectly. There was no pulling or snagging and absolutely no nicks to my scalp despite the fact that I did it myself. I bought this to replace a 30 year old corded model that eventually died. I was absolutely amazed at the charging time. It was fully charged from empty in 45 minutes. Once charged it has loads of power. The one feature that makes this trimmer absolutely perfect for self haircuts is the size and weight. It's so light when compared to a traditional corded model and has a lovely rubberized grip, additionally the lack of a power cord also makes it more manageable and less restrictive for self use.The on/off switch also has a safety lock so it's great for travel.A brilliant trimmer at a great price!

Does the job very well, even for someone as clumsy as me
Decided to get this, to save some cash versus always getting beard trimmed at barber.Managed to give myself a very tidy clean up, despite never having used a trimmer before. Was easy to use, easy to hold, and seemed to manage the nooks and crannies of my face easily enough (without losing an ear, which is what I was half-expecting). I've only used it for beard and moustache trimming, I can't comment on what it's like for doing the scalp.I think they've gone overboard with the number of different attachments, I don't see how anyone's going to need that many. It could do with a nasal or ear hair trimming attachment, and would be much more useful than the sheer avalanche of guards it has by default.Battery life seems pretty good, but I've nothing to compare it against.Without any guards attached, it doesn't quite shave as closely as an electric shaver, but gets close enough, that you could finish off to the skin with a razer or shaver if needed.

Sharp, clean, efficient!
I'm really pleased with this trimmer, although I don't know why I waited so long before buying one. My old beard trimmer (£30 bargain bin from Lidl) feels like trying to shave with a blunt spoon by comparison! The Wahl trimmer is so much better in every respect, smaller, lighter, sharp, more efficient - it's a pleasure to trim my beard with. It's so good at what it does that make sure you go easy on your first beard trim - I almost had nothing left by the time I'd finished, I got a bit carried away! It comes with a great range of cutting guards - half of them are designed for beard trimming, and the other half are suitable for cutting hair / longer beard hair. I have used it for both beard trimming, and cutting hair. Some people have asked in the questions section whether it can be used for cutting hair or not, with some people saying no it's just for beard trimming. In the manual it does say you can use it for cutting hair, or tidying up a hair cut in between visits to the barbers. I would concur with this - as I tried it out cutting my son's hair. Because the trimmer is so small and light, it's great for detail work around the back and sides where you may want it really short and squaring up the neck line - but it's not really substantial enough to cut thick/long hair on the top of the head. I have a Wahl mains operated hair trimmer that is far better at cutting through the bulk of the hair on the head, then I switched to this smaller cordless trimmer for blending in the sides/back and shaping round the ears and neckline. If you like keep your hair really short (ie number 5 or lower all over) and cut your hair regularly you could probably get away with using this trimmer alone, however if you like to keep the top a bit longer or cut your hair less frequently you would probably need a more substantial hair trimmer/scissors etc. to do the top. One word about pinching hairs and skin abrasions - if you follow the instructions it doesn't do this at all. I had no occasions where it pulled a hair or caught my skin. It's important to keep the cutting blades clean an well lubricated in between uses. Also as directed in the manual, never put the top cutting blade in direct contact with the skin, only the bottom blade - and you will not catch your skin during use. I followed this advice in my usage and didn't have any issues what so ever. I have yet to drain the battery as it is still going well on it's first charge (I've done 2 beard trims and 1 haircut so far) so I'll see how much I can get out of it before I drain the battery. All in all, this is a great trimmer and I would not hesitate to recommend it!

Hair
Bought this to cut my husband’s hair some years back, and it still works today. Worth the money and it does the job.

Fantastic short cut, I use instead to shaver!!
I am sixty five years old and have given myself as close a cut I could get for my head and beard from about the age of thirty five. This gives me an amazingly short cut for my head and beard, it looks as though I have used a proper shaver on my head and face. I do not however use any of the attachments that come with the WAHL Aqua Blade Stubble and Beard Trimmer. I use it as it comes with the very small head! However what I do do, is before using the WHAL Aqua to get that really great shave like Finnish. I use my great Phillips 900 hair and face trimmer to remove the long growth on my head and face and also use with the blades extended but with no extensions, to trim my eyebrows. The Phillips 900 is great for plowing through long, thick growth, really, easily and quickly and leaves a very short stubble. Which for a lot of people would be short enough but I love to Finnish off with the wall to get that shave like Finnish. I would highly recommend both these products, which I purchased on Amazon at a really good price. I have not been payed for this review and I do not usually do on line reviews but I really found these two trimmers the best I have ever used in thirty years!!
