Fun gift idea - can be frustrating
I was excited to see this as my sons have just been getting into Legos and robots. The robot and bird are both very cool when assembled, but this is not a transforming robot, it is a kit that can be used to make either of them. This is pretty similar to Legos that offer multiple builds. The instructions were helpful, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the bags are numbered, but do not match the instructions, so this was frustrating. If this is a gift for someone, understand that you will most likely be setting the parent up to help for most of the build.Other than that, it is a fun set and my boys liked it

Mecha Action figure
This kit is like an action figure where you build your own robot. The kit includes normal plastic pieces sizes and a full instruction kit.

Colorful brick set - but missing parts
What looks to be a fun build was straight out of the box a disappointment as the very first step, assembling a brick mini-figure pilot for the mecha, I ran short of parts. The entire lower half of the body just isn't there, after a 10-minute sifting thru the box of parts. From the photos I upload here you can see there were five numbered bags and one booklet. The bags are sequentially numbered. I emptied everything immediately into the box so as not to lose any parts and wanted to have a few sections built to show in the review, but I doubt it's worth it to even try to finish the kit at this point as the strong likelihood is I'll run into more missing part issues. The frustration isn't worth the effort.

Cool mech, doesn't actually transform.
As nice a set as this is, I wish they were a little more honest in their marketing.Good part quality, easy-to-follow instructions, and in the end, a stylish and very posable figure. It's almost like a Gunpla kit (and size-wise, is between a larger RG and smaller MG), just with Lego-style blocks. A nice take on the minifigure here, too- it's actually more like a Cobi figure than a Lego one, with its shape and waist articulation, but still has holes on the backs of the legs so it can be seated securely. But it doesn't directly transform. You have to rebuild it into the bird form, tho the two forms do share a few sub-assemblies. The bird form itself isn't as posable, doesn't balance easily, and looks kinda weird from most angles. There's also a lot of stickers here, which some may find annoying to deal with, but it looks decent enough without these.A good robot model, but do know what you're actually getting here.

I'm conflicted on this. On one hand I can recommend it but on the other I absolutely cannot.
This is a hard product to review because of how conflicting it is. I managed to build it, all of the pieces (and more) were present and the instructions were possible to follow despite some issues with clarity and the lack of any sorting of pieces (HUGE pain!), and the finished piece looks pretty cool. It's smaller than you expect, though, and needless to say, you'll have to take it apart and rebuild it as its different 'form' - it doesn't actually transform.I cannot picture anyone under 13 completing this because of the lack of any kind of piece sorting at all. I do believe this kit would be much less frustrating for a child 13 or older. The issue with the lack of piece sorting lead me to reduce a star and I was incredibly close to giving it 3 stars instead. The bags are numbered but it means literally nothing and you need to immediately pour out all the pieces onto a surface, because you need pieces from random bags for each and every step. And you are never told which bags, so you just have to sort through everything. The pieces are all well made, though not quite to LEGO quality they don't have any visible defects or color issues. All of the pieces connect securely, though some of the connection methods (especially the little flared bits at the hip) are fiddly to connect. Additionally, the pieces don't always work like you'd think - look at how the lower leg has bits that make up both the knee pad and the ankle, pieces that 'should' make up part of the foot and upper leg. It works, but it's a bit janky.Speaking of janky... Numbered bags. They're a lie. The bags have numbers, 1 through 5. The numbers mean literally nothing. Pieces you need for any step are always going to be found in multiple different bags, in random orders. And needless to say, the bag numbers are never mentioned once in the instructions. I cannot fathom why they opted to use 'numbered bags' when the numbers are completely useless and you just have to randomly sort through all 248 pieces at once for each and every step. This makes assembly exponentially more difficult at the first, especially because a lot of the pieces you're looking for are very tiny, have multiple different look-alikes, and in the beginning you're looking through all 248 pieces at once for each and every piece you need. It becomes easier towards the middle, and finally the last steps are easy, because of how many less pieces you have to look through. But again... If they just listed which bags the pieces you need were in, then it wouldn't have been an issue in the first place at all.Even the sticker order is random. You need sticker 12 first, then sticker 13, then sticker 8. The sticker sheet also has a sticker that's the wrong size for some parts, and I had to translate the text that came with the replacements which basically said "Use these instead" but not in English. I would have been able to figure that out without picture translation software, but it would have stumped a small child for at least a bit. That said, previous steps are de-saturated so you can easily tell where you're adding the new pieces. Despite some lack of clarity in close-ups that only becomes clear when you look at the overall piece, as you can see in my pictures, I didn't have any huge issues with clarity in the instructions. I think some of the steps would have been problematic for a small child, but, again, it's nothing that a 13-year-old couldn't have figured out.Despite my HUGE misgivings about the lack of any piece sorting or instructions on what bags you're meant to look in for each step, I did complete the robot. It looks like I could make the other version of this if I cared to live through sorting through each and every piece again, but honestly I cannot fathom wanting to do that again. A child, however, will likely not have that same reluctance as I do.This is, however, going to come apart if 'played with', so I can't suggest this as a toy, it's really a display piece more than a toy. The little flares on the hips are particularly susceptible to coming off and requiring a few minutes to push back together.I only review things that I personally use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Nice build
This robot build is very nice and moveable to different poses. The build has many pieces to it and has a lot of details once finished. The build feels very sturdy and does not fall apart easily. Once completed this looks very nice in my room as a display piece.

Great
This arrived in perfect condition and looks just like the pictures. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, however some of the stickers were mis-numbered and wound up on the wrong pieces.
