Excellent but . . . . . .
There was a time that I only bought Reisser woodscrews. However, the price of these screws has steadily increased over the last few years and now they seem to be selling for double the price that I once paid. These are excellent woodscrews but I now use Timco or Forgefix screws as they are much cheaper. Both Timco and Forgefix make good screws, not quite as good as Reisser, but the price difference can’t be justified in my opinion.

What a fantastic screw......
It's obvious that, when it comes to screwing, you definitely get what you pay for. If you're tempted by a cheaper screw to save a few quid, trust me, this will be false economy as a more-expensive screw is a far more satisfying experience. In particular, choosing to have an expensive screw means that you don't have to faff around trying to find the right hole...something that is often the case when you decide to have a cheaper screw. Overall, really satisfying....I recommend this really great screw to all.

Great screw
As a diy'er, I've found this brand of screw amazing for all my outdoor timber needs. I've slowly built up a collection of many sizes and would recommend happily

very good
recommended by a staircase maker and they seem very good. they go in 1st time without spinning needlessly. with 16mm screws provided pieces are held flat they have a firm hold and don't create splinters around the screw head, even on plywood. originally thought screw is a screw but didn't know how much R&D goes into making 1. keen to try out the concept KTX once these run out. never tried spax but they seem to be marketed really well and stocked by most in store than reisser and concept KTX.

Fast fix
Used for wooden fencing panels, quick fitting when used with an impact driver.

Good screw!
These were bought to top up my box of assorted cutter screws that was getting depleted. Love that there is no need to drill pilot holes as these drill themselves. I have also used these in brick walls without using rawl plugs, just drill a pilot hole and the threads will cut into brick no problem.
