After some recent power outages I purchased this for emergencies. It's the perfect sized kit to keep around. Just toss a bic lighter or some matches in the bag and you're set. It's old school so no batteries to keep charged or replace. The lantern is fully contained so it's a lot safer than just open candles. No worries about hot wax dripping or an open flame that can be blown out or knocked over.

This candle lantern is awesome! It’s so convenient to pack and carry since it collapses down small, but still gives off a great amount of light when in use. The candle lasts a long time, and it’s the perfect cozy glow for camping, backpacking, or even emergencies at home. It’s simple to use, durable, and a great addition to any outdoor gear setup. I’m really impressed with how well it works—highly recommend!

Looks well made and it functions better than the cheaper knock offs. But stamped made in China, on the bottom.

Used it for the first time last night camping even in wind gusts of 30 mph it stayed lit all night I had it lit for about 12 hours straight and it was still going when I woke up in the morning. The frame is built pretty well and it was easy to use. For such a small lamp it produces a fair amount of light

After receiving one of these in red a few months ago I kinda got obsessed with them and WISHED that I had one in this powder blue color. Man did I drop hints for Christmas. I told myself I did not really need one, that I have working electricity, I don't back pack camp , don't need them in an RV and blackouts here are few and far between. Well, we had a PLANNED blackout here a few weeks back and when I lit the red one I was pretty surprised at the light it gave off. I visited the page the other day and lo and behold powder blue was on SALE. Had to have it. The candles in the otherone are pretty long lasting. I am still on the first one in the red one, but the extras area nice bonus, so it's a slow burn time. . The first time I un=collapsed it the glass did not come up with the lid, but once i pulled the glass up by hand it has not failed me. The glass makes this lantern VERY safe. It's easy to use, and it's simply adorable. Reminds me that I need to have some sort of sunset and beyone party this year, here or at the beach, because ven with a breeze these stay lit, thanks to the glass. Love it.

Glass came broken. Based on how loose the parts are. I dont think I could trust it not breaking in my bag while camping/hiking. The bottom cap is plastic. Would be much better as aluminum. Overall its okay. The top does get very hot quickly. Its a nifty thing but I feel there are better alternatives.

je bivouaque très régulièrement par tous temps et en toutes saisons. depuis l'age de 15ans (33 aujourd'hui) je lorgne sur cette lanterne et son clone de chez Edelrid. Après avoir vue la version EDELRID je n'ai pas été convaincu par la solidité du produit. l'âge venant et les salaires également j'ai franchi le pas et acheté la lanterne UCO que je n'avais jamais vu en vrai! Que de regret de ne pas avoir acheté cette lanterne plus tôt!!! Les lanternes UCO sont fantastiques! testé depuis 2ans et environs 45 bivouacs tient le vent, la pluie (la vraie pas le crachin), réchauffe un trou de neige sans problème et permet de préparer, manger, lire et rassurer pendant la nuit les enfants quand ils accompagnent... en gros, tout ce qui demande pas une grande lumière quand ont est au calme. l'autonomie d'une bougie est excellente (environ 10h) la plus part des accessoires sont utiles et les pièces de rechange disponibles (verre, ressort, chainette...) dommage que les prix en France soit excessifs (notamment les bougies)! Cette version dite "original" est la plus pertinente de toutes! (pour avoir testé la MICRO, voir mon avis Amazon) En complément, je vous invite à considérer le réflecteur PAC-FLAT, il est génial et bien pensé: c'est un bon complément (notamment pour la lecture) le prix est toutefois difficilement justifiable (attention pas pleinement compatible avec la version micro (dommage)) nota: le réflecteur latéral est à oublier, pas facile à ranger et l'efficacité est minime.
