Best purchase ever!
We took this on our Florida trip and kept it in our toyhauler garage camper. Previous trip we did not have it and my husband drank the RV campsite water and ended up with parasites and was sick for a month. So we purchased this and used it daily. It holds several gallons of filtered water and we didn't get sick this time. I would highly recommend purchasing this system for trips or home use when the power grid has been shut down because of a disaster. Sometimes if you live in an area that have boil water orders, I'm sure this would work fine. We actually shared our water with another set of campers and we all have plenty of fresh clean water. Best purchase ever.

Just in case
Box a bit broken but filter is fine. We tested it and it works. Peace of mind.

Very helpful
Super. We used it to clean & purify water from a creek after a storm destroyed pipelines.

great for an emergency
we bought this to keep on hand should the grid go down. we would be dependent on well water which would need to be filtered. I feel a lot safer knowing we have this available just in case

Spouts seem cheap
The instructions aren’t clear on how to put this together so we looked it up on YouTube and figured it out. The four spouts around the clean water tank barely go in the holes and the rings don’t screw on good. I see this being a problem when I use it. I noticed there are replacement spouts so they must know this is a problem already. I give four stars only because there is always room for improvement.

Too much work
So I buy one of these for off grid living and with a .02 micron filter it makes water safe for drinking. But after a couple months it stopped working. It’s rated for x amount of years and x thousand gallons so I ask lifestraw what to do. They said back wash the filter, so I backwash and it works again but 5x slower and it was doing 5gal/hr before. So I ask them what to do now, they said backwash after each use, so for every 5 gallons you clean 1 gallon is needed to backwash the filter. I say ok and press on then it gets stopped up again, they blame me for faulty setup and I tell them I followed the instructions the troubleshooting and their new backwash policy which wasn’t in the troubleshooting website or instructions. They say it’s not supposed to be outside and at the very least needs its own pavilion or something. So it’s not easy to maintain, no way it lasts as long as they claim if you have water with any amount of turbidity or debris, and the cartridge is insane to replace. They should’ve gone with an hourglass design with easier cartridge removal/replacement using smaller cartridges like their original design.
