Skin: Fitzpatrick I/II, VERY ACNE-PRONE, dehydrated combination (oily t-zone, dry cheeks), large pores, sensitive and currently using retinol, prone to dry flakey patches that mineral sunscreen clings too. I can't use chemical sunscreens on my face, only mineral. I've tried over 150 chemical and mineral sunscreens over the past 10 years. I LOVE this sunscreen. Such a godsend. This is the only sunscreen I've found that does NOT cause acne for me!! I haven't had clear skin in over two decades! Well, now I do! So exciting. Zero whitecast. Doesn't itch. Doesn't burn or leave skin red or irritated. Doesn't settle into pores. Doesn't cling to dry patches!!! The tint won't highlight them. Doesn't melt down my face when sweating heavily. Doesn't heavily crease in my hooded eyelids. Wipes off easily for reapplication and doesn't pill when reapplied. Transfers less to clothing than other tinted sunscreens. Ingredients list is short and neutral which makes it suitable for most acne-prone and sensitive skin. Seems to protect well. I've yet to notice redness or increased hyper-pigmentation after being outside in full sun for 2 hours. But it's still winter, so using this in our high UV summer will give me a better idea. Yes, this sunscreen has a thicker consistency. I personally prefer this because it allows me to apply a larger amount of sunscreen to my face than any other brand I've tried without it feeling greasy or heavy. This ensures I am better protected throughout the day. I would describe the texture as a moisturizing matte, or semi-matte. Doesn't dry out my skin like some zinc sunscreens, doesn't turn me into a greaseball either (but I'm used to typical mineral sunscreens that are greasy AF). A light dusting of powder gets the job done. Cons: I wish the tint was lighter. It's a shade too dark for my fair skin tone, but I roll with it because it's better to be acne-free. While this is acne-safe, I it doesn't nourish my skin like my previous Andalou did. But, again, Andalou had me in perpetual breakouts, so with acne-prone skin, I'm finding a neutral formula is superior (My skin was glowy, but with hella acne lol. Now my skin looks less glowy, but healthy and clear.) I will keep buying this.

i have very oily skin and i struggled for years to find a primer that could actually keep it at bay. ive tried pretty much all of them and none of them worked so i gave up, accepting the fact i would be wiping grease off my face for the rest of my life. figured i would try this one since it was summer and it ended up being the best primer i ever tried. my makeup stays on all day and NO MORE OILY SKIN, even after hours and hours. my skin looks dewy but not greasy. its amazing. if you struggle with the same problem i did your struggle ends here. just a heads up though that it is really thick and difficult to apply evenly with just your hands or even a brush but i have no issues applying it with a beauty blender.

3.5 stars? Jury is still out for the final verdict. It doesn't have a white cast. It has a small amount of tint which is fine for me since I'm light skinned, not sure if it would work for others though. It is a thick cream but spreads reasonably well. After a minute or two, it does dry and mostly avoids being tacky. I like that it is spreadable without a white sheen and dries fairly well, but it is expensive for something I'm not 100% thrilled with.

Great sunscreen! For me personally, I prefer a lightweight sunscreen for my face. And to be fair, there is full disclosure on this product page stating that while this sunscreen is considered "sheer," it says: "**Not designed as a tint or coverup. This is a thick formula due to the high amount of SPF in the form of zinc oxide. We suggest using our SPF BFF Brush to ensure a flawless finish." The tint is subtle and blends very well. I love that this sunscreen is vegan, sheer, MINERAL with non-nano, 50spf rated, reef-safe (though the label doesn't actually state this), and has actual skincare ingredients. It's difficult to find a good mineral spf, especially one with these important elements! No noticeable scent. My skin is quite sensitive and I have no reactions from this sunscreen. I would feel perfectly confident using this on my face in places like Hawaii or Puerto Rico but I'm hesitant to use it daily because I prefer a lighter product if possible (which is not the sunscreen's fault, lol). I will, however, continue to use it often as it is literally one of the only of its kind available at a more reasonable price than others.

This sunblock has great coverage and has a perfect tint (if not pale.) It is super moisturizing and makes skin look nice and dewy. I wear it during spring/summer when I have a slight tan. However, it is very thick and it drags my skin as I apply. I will use this bottle up and look for a new sunblock with thinner consistency.

I’m obsessed. I have the world’s most sensitive skin and everything burns my skin. I can get this in my eyeball and it feels better than eyedrops to me. Even after wearing all day I don’t get irritation in the corners of my eyes. My skin glows with it and I use it like makeup. I love this bc I switched from Kosas which I was a fanatic for but this is so much more affordable and sticks better. It’s a thick application vs thinner of kosas which is better for my skin.

On my fourth tube! Me: acne in remission, combi skin with dry patches due to retin-a use. I didn’t like it at first as it felt too heavy. Then I started using it without moisturiser underneath and voila - perfect level of moisturising and nice non-greasy glow! I don’t use foundation on top, because it has minimal tint that is enough for me. Have to be careful with white collars, it transfers a lot. I wanted to switch to something else as there was a suspicion that spf part may be not as effective as stated, but I loved the formula so much that I kept using it. I never burn much so it’s hard to tell if it works tbh. Just ordered 2 more of them

Aunque el tono es un poco oscuro para las pieles verdaderamente claras, puede funcionar al extenderlo sobre otro protector solar también mineral y sin color. Digamos que, si eres poseedor(a) de una piel fototipo I o II, te podrá ayudar hacerlo así. Por otro lado y lo más importante, es que SÍ PROTEGE REBIEN. Es una gran protección y muy suave con la piel. Además no deja la piel grasa pero tampoco seca, le deja de apariencia natural y sana. Muy recomendable.

Average. Quite thick. No glowing skin. Can pill when used ontop of face cream. Underwhelmed. Cheaper and better products …. like the one can pronounce (Helios something!)
