Easy and affordable seaweed snack!
Being Japanese in the south (small city of Savannah), is tough. The supermarkets here don't really sell foreign or "healthy" foods. For example, back in Colorado I can buy seaweed, freeze-dried fruit, and different types of fish. But ironically, here on the coast right next to a major port, all those things are impossible to find. Also, there are only 2 asian stores here, each about the size of a gas station store.Thank goodness Amazon exists. This wakame is perfect, and even cheaper than the grocery store! I love that it comes in a 4 pack, because you'll use one bag in about one or two servings. I like to put mine in miso soup or spinach salad. The nice thing about wakame is that is has a neutral flavor. People freak out about it, but it really tastes like spinach. Or maybe I've eaten it my whole life and and don't think it tastes weird.I don't think you want to eat it dry. Seaweed tends to stick to the roof of your mouth and can hurt (or get clogged in your throat). Soak this is lukewarm water before serving. And try not to wash it too much because it has important vitamins and minerals! If you want your kids to get these super-foods in their diet, you can make it a science experiment for them. Have them soak it in a bowl and watch it magically turn into bright green squares of edible food.Or, a tip from us Japanese ladies to Americans, you can put some of the soaked wakame squares on your eyes or face. It's very good for your skin! It's great for dark circles and puffy eyes.Either way, this is a great find! It lasts a long time, so you can stock up and keep them for months in a dry place.

Well-Pac Fueru Wakame
I bought this to make seaweed salad for myself, you do have to soak the seaweed since it's dry and to lessen the salty flavor but I believe this is the norm for any dry seaweed. It is very tasty and I would buy it again.

Amazing authentic flavor!
I actually have used this delicious, briny, seaweed in several odd recipes. All were kicked up several notches by the addition of this food product. Miso soup? Excellent! Added to a lobster shore dinner and it was INCREDIBLE! Both the aroma and additional layer of flavor blew me away! I will include this in many of my seafood meals from this day forward. Whats not to like…its delicious and really good for you. Oh, and it keeps forever.

I love it
The wakame I've used in the past was large, hard segments that had to be cooked quite a while to soften. The benefits were well worth it and I like whole foods as natural as possible, but this came "shredded" and didn't look like wakame to me until I soaked it as per the package directions. It's really user friendly and easier to add to more foods this way. I'm glad I tried it and will order again when needed, though this reconstitutes to a much greater volume and will last quite a while. I consider that a good value and am glad I found it.

WARNING on back of actual product!!!! Cancer-causing chemical in your "healthy" seaweed
WARNING on back of actual packages when u receive them!!! The picture they show on Amazon of the back of package does not show the warning label (they seem to have whited it out/left a blank area). Here are pics of the package shown and what I received...I bought this product because it had great reviews and because it only had seaweed as an ingredient (some prepared salads have dyes and/or added sugar). However, I did not know this one had a cancer-causing chemical, or I wouldn't have purchased.

Great for Seaweed Salad
This was my first purchase of wakame. I really enjoyed this product. A small amount soaked in water for just a few minutes is enough to make several seaweed salads. Well worth the purchase.

Excellent product for daily dashi
It's a staple! I always use this use this brand of wakame in my dashi based soups. When I prepare the soup, at the very end, sometimes just after adding egg drop, I add a few three-finger pinches of this wonderful dried seaweed in the last minute of simmering. This seaweed rapidly reconstitutes in finished broth as beautiful, delicate, little squares of flavor.Consistent quality, so simple to use. Highly recommended!

Great for seaweed salad
I love seaweed salad! This makes a great salad. It's cut into small pieces, not stringy, like real seaweed salad the I've eaten in restaurants. You have to dehydrate it, and it makes a ton. Good taste, and good value.
