Notes for folks wanting to use this with Weber Genesis II
As indicated by some other reviews, this griddle works fine with Weber Genesis grills, but there are a couple caveats I'd point out. I have a the three burner plus sear burner model of Genesis II that Ace sells.1) The griddle will sit on top of the existing grates. using it in place of the grate doesn't work. The dimensions aren't right.2) The front to back length of the griddle is such that the closed lid will rub a teeny bit against it. It doesn't interfere with closing it, but it does bug me a little.3) There's a fair bit of distance between the griddle and the burners. I run it with the right most burner and the sear burner going full blast. This works fine, but it's something to be aware of. I imagine a dedicated griddle like a blackstone can get a hotter surface. If you look at Weber's griddle made for the Genesis, you'll see the cooking surface is dropped down.4) The drip escape opening directs grease to on top of the center burner causing flare ups. Not a huge deal, but sub-optimal.The griddle is otherwise a very nice and hefty piece of cast iron. In retrospect, maybe I should have gotten a Blackstone. It would have given more more cooking area. Cook all the bacon, while making pancakes and eggs at the same time. Would also take up more space on the deck.As summer heats up, it's definitely nice being able to cook breakfast outside and keep the kitchen coolers.

Weber Griddle Replace One Grate - awesome burgers!
I own a Weber Genesis II LX E-440 Natural Gas Grill - four burner with 3 grates. Removed one grate and installed this griddle. Griddle is same size as grate, so drops right in. You must season the griddle before your first use, and this takes some time (figure an hour) and is absolutely imperative; there are no instructions on this with the product. I used Heritage Products Cast Iron Avocado Oil - lots of videos online to show you how, very easy. Once the griddle was seasoned, I started cooking like a short order chef. Be sure to order a griddle spatula, scraping tool and some water bottles. Works great and I use the griddle a lot more than I thought I would. I only use the flat side of the griddle, the ribbed side seems like a gimmick and not sure how I would season both sides anyway. Griddle clean up after use is a little laborious, but that is true with all griddles and not a knock on this product.

Awesome griddle, fits Genesis II
I just bought a brand new S-435 and wanted a griddle for it. The griddle for the Genesis series looks ridiculous and does not not have great reviews. However, this griddle is specifically made for the Summit series but it fits the S-435 Genesis II perfectly as others have stated. The only issue is that if you place it front-to-back and take up one full grill slot, you can't close the lid all the way because there is a small 2mm lip on the lid that hits the very leading edge of the griddle, so the lid closes 99.9% but its not completely closed. For what I'm doing with the griddle, thats not an issue. Also just turn the griddle sideways and it works great as well. The griddle is quality all around and its huge and easy to cleanup. I wish Weber would just say that this thing fits the Genesis and get rid of the other ridiculous griddle. Also I saw the Lodge cast iron griddles in store and they are tiny compared to this thing.

Very sturdy seems like we’ll last forever
This is an excellent product very well built, however heavy. You expect that from cast-iron. Cleans up well with just water and slight scrubbing.

Better that the Lodge
I have used a two-sided Lodge griddle for years but needed more griddle surface, so I decided to get the Weber Griddle for our Summit S650.Three things I like about the Weber Griddle over the Lodge Cast Iron Chef Collection Rectangular Reversible Grill & Griddle - 20 in x 10 in#1 The Weber griddle surface is easier to clean and needs less TLC afterward than the Lodge#2 The Weber griddle has more usable surface area than the Lodge#3 The Weber griddle fits perfectly and the lid can be closed 100% regardless of griddle orientation. This results in better grill utilization and mult-zone temp control (the Lodge is a smidge too long to close the hood if you want to use it over dedicated burners for multi-zone temp control)The Lodge is the easier griddle to handle off the BBQ or when used for campfires.

very good quality.
Works very well. Heats up easy.. Stays Hot for a long time!! be careful to leave the grill open and let it cool to touch before covering. My friend melted his cover onto the top of teh grill by not doing this.note: sold individually, not a pair!!Says only use 1 on the grill. I have the weber 670 and have used 2 (one on each edge with middle uncovered) many times no issues. Do not shut the grill though with 2 inside. Gets too hot to cook with. I will never do bacon inside my house again! KEep the messs and smell outside.get a heavy press, flip over the griddle to the ridged side, and you have a panini maker! I would get a press with no wood or plastic in teh handle so it can be heated in teh grill. ( I got one with a wooden handle. I just unsrewed it, pulled the wooden part off and put the bolt back in ( like a toilet paper roll.) remember to wear gloves when handlingif you do this!!Tips:Bacon: use thick cut.Make sure grease drain is to the outside edge, not the middle. Keeps the burners clean and prevents flare ups.clean grease catch first.Anything else cut up:Push the griddle as far to the edge as possible and scoop up food (onions etc) with 2 spatulas. Pushing it to the edge prevents spill overs on one side at least. That is the big issue with this. Do not over load, stuff falls off easily.

Webber quality
I am using it on a different model than it was made for and fits well despite using on a different model.Turns my Webber into a combo grill and griddle! I am using it for vegetables all the time now and love it. Easy to clean right on the grill with a stainless scraper and paper towel.
