It's adorable. And its a fine price for the iconic Totoro. He does have a good setting for a nightlight light in red, a bright white or the umbrella. But I just bought it for my husband for valentines day. Why some reviews complain I don't know. But my husband loved it.

Less light than I expected, barely changes visibility. If it were a plug-in, I’d say it’s adequate as a night light. But it’s not, and runs low on power relatively quickly. I am by nature not interested in strong light. But this is just too little to be of any value. It’s cute, though…

I received the lamp and it was tiny and an obvious return. The charger was missing and the items were not packaged properly. The plastic is thin and I did not like that the insides of the lamp could be seen. I decided to look for a Totoro lamp elsewhere since I was disappointed and shocked by this purchase. I ended up buying one for $9 on Aliexpress. It is larger and awesome!! It came new and is great quality. I was able to choose which light colors I wanted and the style of lamp, the plastic is not transparent and definitely better than seeing the frame, wires and screws. I know that my daughter will be delighted when she opens it this Christmas!!
