Nisaku Weed Scraper Garden Tool with Short Handle and Neck

Cuts through heavy weeds beautifully. I used this item for about 5 hours today, paired with a cobra head and a machete, to carve out several large flower beds on both sides of a chain link fence on our property. It digs under grass and thicker weeds very quickly, after which the cobra head was able to dig and work the soil. Recommended.

Purchased to do some weeding. My impression upon receipt was underwhelming. Size is good, feel is much lighter than I expected. While I don't expect to have a 10lb head on it, I expected a bit more. Next disappointment was the edge. This thing will rip weeds out, it won't cut things. Dull dull dull. A bit of work with a whetstone has yielded a much better edge, but I'm still disappointed. Perhaps I'm expecting it to work more like a sickle than it can, I don't know. I'd hesitate to buy it again.

The scraper works as intended. The blade is secured to the wooden handle with two rivets and appears to be well secured to the handle. The blade also appears to be made of stainless steel so it will not rust.Another thing to remember is that this scraper is made for "right handed" individuals - it will not work for left handed individuals.The tool could be a bit larger as tackling larger weeds takes some effort. I also feel that a longer handle will be nice to minimize bending down or going on your knees to weed.Although it has some shortcomings, I still recommend it - it is sturdy, does the job and the price is reasonable.

Never saw a tool quite like this one before and had to try it. Feels very natural in either hand, and does the job efficiently and with minimum wrist fatigue.

Tool works as advertised. I found it a bit flimsy for my use, I hooked it on a thick weed and bent it.

Think Japanese Harbor Freight. The wood on the handle has no weight.EDIT! 5-6-2017Moved from one star to four star. This has made Spring weed removal much easier. The construction of it still isn't what I would like, but having never used one like this before I am very impressed.

Bit light, handle just a bit too short. works pretty good

It is an awkward angle that the blade is so it seems hard to find a comfortable grip to accommodate this. Would not order again
