Great did not break and paint does not come of especially. This is a great gift and a great toy.

All 4 kids love playing with horses and riders, from ages 11 to 2. This rider fits many of their horses which are mix of brands.

My daughter loved it!!!

My daughter has been collecting Schleich horses since Christmas. This rider was an inexpensive alternative to the Schleich brand riders - about 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost, but fits well on the Schleich horses and is approximately the same size as Schleich figures, as you can see in the comparison pictures. There are some cute details to the figure, such as the silver accents on her riding helmet, her ruffled blouse, and her gold and black riding boots. Overall, I think the figure is worth what we paid for it, which was less than $10US.Schleich enthusiasts should be aware, however, that the product does have a different appearance than Schleich products. The figure is glossy, not textured, and its facial features are a little comical in comparison to the realistic facial features of the Schleich figures. My astute 8-year-old noticed the difference right away. However, she was just happy to have a rider for the horses she's collected. I suspect that, just as with the Schleich line, there will be issues with the paint chipping and/or rubbing off from the horses onto the figures (you can see this on the Schleich figure's arm - and we've only had her since last Christmas). Also, if you're planning to gift this, be aware the figure does not come in any sort of box or packaging, just a little plastic bag.On the whole, though, if I was a horse-crazy kid, I'd be excited to get something from this line of riders and horses. As a parent, my kiddo is happy, my wallet is happy, and I know we'll get hours and hours of imaginary play out of this, so it's a solid four-star purchase to me.
