I ran out of palm fertilizer for my outdoor trees. Ordered this and my palms seem pretty happy I did. But it is expensive.

My house smelled like a zoo for the 1st week. I had to buy plug ins, placing them on the highest setting to mask the odor. I also stored the remaining in a ziplock bag in the shed. 1 wek later, my palms have already changed. I administered the recommended dosage while the soil was dry, mixed it around a bit then generously watered and misted the branches. My oldest palm was suffering and I couldnt figure out why after trying so many solutions. Now, day by day I could see it changing, branches lifting, leaves turning greener and shinier, firming and sprouting up. While I hate the poop smell of this fertilizer, this combo has been better than any other in sprucing my plants. I'm going to try it on the others that have the same mineral ratio, just in a smaller dose. I do like Jobes plant food spikes for smalller plants also. I don't have moisture issues because of the double pot method with clay beads at the bottom for drainage. My soil is aerated when I fertilized, I also use a mixture of cinnamon, crushed eggshell powder and black pepper to fight fungus/mold, etc. This has always worked rather than using the onion, coffee, banana or egg shell watering method.

We live in zone 6b (Western New York) and we've have two Windmill palm trees planted in our back yard for the last 3 years. Crazy right?! (Covered in winter) They have grown slowly each summer and this year we decided to add some food to the soil and BAM! They really started to take off! I can see a difference in growth in just a few weeks. This is the best thing we could have done for them. This is also the worst smelling stuff on the planet! LOL! Don't let that deter you. Get some and watch your palms take off!
