I never write reviews but this exceeded expectations! If you are wanting a full blown retinal alt you won’t get that without an active, but this plumps, smooths, and helps with redness. I have very sensitive, VERY acne prone skin and was worried about this being an oil but I’ve had 0 breakouts, soaks in well, and works good under makeup. I had a Botox consultation before buying this, used this for 1 week, went to my Botox appt and ended up having to get significantly less units than previously consulted. Within a week!! Also helps a bit with my pockmarks but obviously without an active only works so much. 10/10 would recommend

My skin is normally intolerant of oils and generally reacts badly to most (almost all) skin care products, whether or not active ingredients are involved, as I am cursed with inexplicable and unreasonable skin sensitivity. Thus I was delighted to find bakuchiol as the sole ingredient in this serum, as my Korean BFF raves about the ingredient and said every derm in Korea uses it. Amazed that I experienced zero irritation on first application; if anything it calmed prior irritation from a bakuchiol product that included other non-fragrant plant oils (but face still said no lol). I use this every other night, and I love how calm and bright my skin looks after application. After roughly 2-3 weeks my skin looks amazingly smooth and healthy, and retains more moisture, all wonderful things at age 47. Never had results like this with any retinol or any chemical exfoliant that I tolerated in the past. Additionally, I had a recent and too aggressive Morpheus treatment, which left my skin looking pretty ragged for months after and I was feeling pretty depressed and certain that the damage would be permanent. With this product, I can once again feel confident that I can repair my skin and get it back on track. I hope they never stop making this as single ingredient formulations are pretty hard to come by, and are essential for freaks like me.

This concentration of bakuchiol works well for my skin- not too strong, not too light- so it's effective! I mix a few drops with oil and apply all over my face after washing it and going to sleep every night. In just a month, I noticed softer, more even skin tone which in my late 40s are both starting to decrease naturally. Now 6 months later, I still use it regularly mixed with different carrier oils depending on the weather. When it's mild temperatures, I use either argan or rosehip oils. In the winter, when the heater is on, I use a thicker oil like jojoba or almond. The bottle comes with a dropper that has a little tighter suction at the top which helps prevent direct spillage as almost happened once when I knocked the bottle over. I'm about to use my second bottle.

It moisturizes and the absorbs well. I don't see a drastic difference in my skin.

This is a good product for slight firming and evening out skin tone. The results are not as dramatic as a true retinol, but it is non-irritating and my skin tolerates it well. I use it straight with no problems, applying it directly to skin after washing and layering a rich moisturizer on top.
