Q: What's the shelf life?

We set the shelf life to two years. That is mainly because the seaweed looses colour over time if in direct sunlight. The product however won't go bad in any way but rather looses it's appearence over time.

Q: What is the sodium content of this product

Well, as it is primarily sodium chloride salt, I'd say it's pretty close to the sodium content of standard salt, maybe a tiiiiiiiny bit less due to the fact that some volume is seaweed - but probably so little as to be negligible. So roughly 290% USRDA per tbsp. 40%ish sodium. If you're looking to cut sodium from your diet, this is probably not the product to do that.

The seaweed salt comes in a glass jar.

Q: Is this comparable to the much more expensive Japanese seaweed salt (Amabito no Moshio)?

It is not produced the same way, there is added two types of icelandic seaweed to the icelandic salt from Saltverk in this product.
