Panamax MR4300 MR4300 9-Outlet Home Theater Power Management with Surge Protection and Power Conditioning

This is something I recently learned over the course of many years and a lot of troubleshooting! If you have a 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup which uses an AVR, external amps, and subwoofers I highly recommend using a 0awg huge extension cord to draw electricity from a completely different circuit! The results are significantly better and very qualitative. I admittedly have 3 power conditioners for my home theater setup, which includes: Denon AVR-x4500h, 2 REL Subwoofers, 2 external amplifiers, dacs, a headphone tube amp. A TV, and a few other items. The reason I went for a second circuit is because I was overloading my single circuit with too much AV gear and a result, my monolith m7100x amp was generating a lot of static when it was powered on and not playing (in all channels), after trying a ground loop hum isolator, an isolation transformer, art clean box pros ( to have a true, balanced XLR connection between my avr and monolith amp). And trying three different power conditioners: the Audio Quest PQ4, the Paramax 4300, and the furman PST-8D nothing reduced the static. Also, the dynamic range if all if my devices sounded limited. I used this extension cord to power my PQ4 from a completely different circuit and I immediately noticed a significant reduction in static coming from my monolith amp. My PQ4 currently powers my TV, AVR, and 2 external amps. Drawing electricity from 2 different circuits to power my home theater system hobby made my listening experience come to life as there is now a significant dynamic range and all of the sound has become rich and much more alive. I also added pictures of 6” extension cords you can buy in a 6 pack. I mention this as most power conditioners do not have a lot of room between outlets. Using these 6” three prong extension cords have allowed me to plug in large usb adapters that would have normally taken up the space of 2-3 outlets and now only takes up 1 outlet so all of my devices can be plugged into power conditioners negating the reach to buy upgraded ac cables. In conclusion I have found using 2 separate outlets for you AV system makes the sound really come to life and can even reduce a ground loop hum that nothing else can fix. FYI, I have gone through 3 monolith m7100x amplifiers and they all hum. I do know it’s specifically the monolith amp as when the monolith amp has been shipped off for replacement through their warranty program my Denon AVR-x4500h and Emotiva Bass X 3 channel amp powered all of my speakers with no hum. Note: I did unplug all if my devices AC power one at a time, and all cords one at a time. The only interesting find was that I found if I plugged my laptop into my docking station via HDMI the hum from the monolith got worse, so I plug the HDMI Cable and the Ethernet cable directly into my work laptop and only use the docking station as a power supply for my laptop as unplugging the dell docking station from the AC outlet did not impact the hum from my monolith amp.

I have already bought a bigger Panamax unit in the past for my main living room and it has done a great job of protecting my equipment and I really think it helps with filtering out any additional noise. I purchased this unit for my bedroom because I got scared a couple of weeks ago when a thunderstorm cut the power off and I wasn't completely comfortable using a generic power strip style surge protector. Since I've installed this, my sound does feel a lot cleaner and more detailed. I don't think it's the placebo effect either. It really does sound better. I really can't tell about the picture being better to be honest. The F8500 already has an excellent picture, so it's almost impossible to tell yet. The hardest part about incorporating one of these Panamax units into your Theater is the re-wiring and cleaning up your power cords from your other AV equipment(Blu ray, TV,receiver power cords ect.) so it makes for a clean install with no cables sticking out. The lights are a nice feature also. The best thing about them is that you can turn them all off if you choose too. The lights for the voltage reading has 5 different brightness levels and so does the red lights coming from the two round knobs. They can be both turned completely off if you prefer a dark setting. I prefer the red lights on the lowest level on only, as it does not to cause to much distraction. Before I bought this, I had checked around and seen a lot of comments about the warranty not being honored from a 3rd party vendor. This is true.Currently, Panamax only sells to 15 specific online retailers and the manufactuers warranty is only covered if you choose one of those approved vendors if you purchase this online. When I did not see Amazon on that list but saw others commenting about their experience if the warranty would be covered if you bought it from Amazon, I wanted to double check with Panamax myself. I reached out and asked Panamax and they said if you by from Amazon and under the buyer it indicates "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com", the warranty is covered. They said Amazon is currently being added to the approved online retailers. So if the warranty is important and you buy it off of Amazon, just make sure when you purchase it, it states "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com".

This power strip has similar dimensions to a modern blue ray player and can be mounted in a component rack, or in my case in a tv stand. The front white LED displays the current incoming voltage, and the display as well as the two downlights can be modified for brightness. I have experienced multiple power drops and surges at home, and this display has worked flawlessly each time. I would like to note then when there is a loss of power, the lights reset to full intensity when power is restored. The buttons on the front and the usb port work very well. Though there never seems to be enough power ports on the back, this device is vreat for higher end electronics.

Atendeu perfeitamente as expectativas, só não achei interessante a construção das tomadas traseiras, a frontal, está na direção correta, porém as traseiras, por serem feitas para ligar lateralmente os equipamentos, caso tenha fonte, ou seja maior que o normal, atrapalha a utilização da tomada que está ao lado, o que não aconteceria se as tomadas fossem posicionadas como a frontal.

Wanted a good working power conditioner in my price range with a visual display showing live voltage. I’ve only had it for two days but am pleased with its performance. Shipping was excellent, package arrived in excellent condition.

Tal vez el precio sea aparentemente elevado, pero si lo que quieres es tener la mejor forma de proteger tu equipo HiFi o home teather de variaciones de voltaje este protector es una de las mejores opciones del mercado. Tengo uno del mismo modelo y marca pero una version mas antigua de hacer mas o menos 10 años y hasta la fecha ha funcionado perfecto, protegiendo mis equipos de cualquier sobrecarga o variación de corriente. Si tienes equipo costoso esta es tu mejor opcion para cuidar tu inversion y seguir disfrutando de tus hobbies con confianza.

Não conhecia a função de oscilador de tensão, mas posso dizer que esse produto faz o que se propõe e além de tudo tem uma ótima qualidade e design moderno. Para quem tem problemas de voltagem mais elevada que o designado para aparelhos sensíveis, como os Receivers (Home Theater), também recomendo um transformador redutor antes do Panamax. Esses transformadores são construídos sob encomenda, não existe de pronta entrega, pois são necessários mensurações de voltagem (volts) e corrente (amperes). A combinação foi perfeita e meu sistema passou a funcionar com total segurança e estabilidade, sem danificar componentes eletrônicos. Recomendo!
