I really love this design. The ability to clip this on the inside of my pocket is great! It has all of the tools I have been wanting in a multitool without too many unneeded tools. The one handed flip open blade with rail lock is great. All of the outer tools lock in place when opened. Collapsing the blade and tools is super easy with the small levers. No digging inside the slot to push the lock to the side and risk a pinch. All tools are easily accessed and open smoothly without much effort (no broken nails). The pliers are beefy and very sturdy. This is an easy to carry and extremely useful EDC multitool. The clip really makes access easy. I'm not a fan of pouches or carrying loose in the pocket. So glad I purchased this tool and I highly recommend it.

I own both and collect leathermans. This tool feels like nothing in your pocket but gives you everything and more. There simply isn't another brand that can pack the punch that victorinox does. Without the need for a sheath and bit sets this brand is the only multi tool brand you need if your looking into which you should get stop looking now and your looking at this comment for a reason you will never be disappointed voting with your dollars for this Swiss crafted multi tool. Simply worded the best all in one multi tool there is. Edit UPDATE. I've purchased countless multi tools in search for the best one for me. And this Victorinox spirit mx clip is by far still the best. Every implements easily accessible from the exterior of the closed tool. All implements are sharper than sharp. I will saw Roxon does seem to copy Victorinox in alot of their implements. Also roxon factory sharp is crazy sharp. Customer service is very responsive and makes things right if wronged im saying with personal experience. Also cheaper alternatives would have to be Roxon or Biburry. I love the biburry pro model but no pocket clip. They do have a 49$ pocket clip biburry that has black implements and it's forsure the best multi tool at that price range with the biggest tool set and a pocketable size. I love gerber diesel but dont like not having fast access to my tools. Gerber center drive plus is a beast but again no pocket clip. If it had a pocket clip it would be a top pick for me... The dual force gerber doesn't have enough implements but has the ones that count and the pliers size is absolutely usable making them a real carpenter tool. Leatherman Arc is my go to edc most days but I cant recommended becaude of the price point.

I own a LOT of multitools, more than 50. This one is the one I carry 95% of the time. It is obviously quality made, as all Victorinox products are, and they do stand by their lifetime warranty. All the tools open and close very smoothly. All the tools that are supposed to be sharp are very sharp. The saw cuts very, very well. The file works great as well. The bottom slim edge of the file can be used as a hacksaw on anything that is softer than the file itself such as other metals, plastic, PVC, etc. All the tools lock when open. This is a critical safety feature and is a must-have, in my experience. Unlocking them is easy, even with gloves on. I fully expect this Victorinox Spirit X to last a lifetime and more. I carry it every single day because it has every tool I have ever needed on a multitool and is the highest quality.

I lost my old Leatherman so I ordered a new Wave+. Had to return it. The quality I feel was lower compared to my old-20 yrs old Leatherman that I lost. The plier head was so stiff that the handles would bend rendering the pliers useless. Everything felt like needed better machining and fit. Ordered this Victorinox to try and is amazing! The one handed blade opening is great, the tool is super compact, it has no parts to lose- major plus. The awesome part of it is that all of the tools(besides the pliers), are on the outside! So you don’t have to open the handles to get to a tool! The pliers are so precisely machined that that open on its own weight by just lifting one of the handles. Each of the tools was designed with a lot of thought. The chisel tool is amazing and unique- none of my other multi tools had anything close to that. Everything locks with a click and precision! Unbelievable! So, from my experience with around 5 different multi tools in the past, this is the best, by a huge margin. So compact I wear it inside my work pants, and clipped in the front pocket after work. It’s with me all the time, and yes, most of the time is inside my front pocket, and not on a clip. It’s that compact and comfortable! This version of it is the best in my opinion! I’ll buy another one, just to have it. It’s that good!

I am not aware of a better multi-tool. The Philips screwdriver head is excellent; it grips a wide variety of screw head sizes and lasts a very long time without damage or fatigue. The flat head is equally tough and resistant to wear or change after years of use. All other tools I have tried, the screwdrivers do not function like a standalone tool. This works as well as the best standalone brands, like a Matco or Snap-on. The scissors actually work and cut a variety of materials from nose hairs to paper with an excellent slice.

Swiss multi tools are above and beyond the quality/ fit, finish and material then american-made Leatherman multi tools. And Leatherman multi tools are outstanding quality. Swiss tools are just better. Leatherman is like a Ford F-250 and Swiss tools are like a Porsche in terms of precision. If you own both brands, it's obvious. Leatherman knows that you will eventually break it. That's why they just have a 25-year warranty. Swiss tools are lifetime warranty. The only problem with Swiss multi-tools is that they're so beautiful and precise. You don't want to beat and abuse them like you beat on your Leatherman tools. Even the comfort in your hand and comfort in your pocket is above and beyond any other multi-tool.

From a fit and finish perspective, this is easily the best pliers-based multitool on the market. The machining work and assembly tolerances are refined and tight, yet every implement still opens smoothly and locks into place with a tactile snap. The MX Clip is a rare combination of both form and function, especially when compared to similar offerings from Leatherman (of which I still love in their own right). The tool selection is basically perfect, and everything is accessible from the outside without having to open the pliers. The pliers themselves operate smoothly and are plenty robust for multitool tasks. Additionally, the gently curved shape of the handles, along with the smoothly polished surface, make this tool extremely comfortable to use, with no hotspots in my experience. Considering the tool density on the MX Clip, it is surprisingly slim and carries very well, making tools like the Leatherman Wave+ seem a bit clunky and unnecessarily cumbersome in comparison. The only downside to this tool, which may or may not be significant depending on your use-case, is the knife-blade. While it is nice that you can open it with one hand, the way they achieved this--with the opening tab just being a rolled over piece of steel from the blade's spine--reduces the effective cutting edge of an already short blade. When cutting through something like an apple or even just a cardboard box, when the rear portion of your blade goes through, the opening tab of the knife can get caught up on the material. It's not as if the knife is unusable by any means, but if you are like me and only carry a multitool (no additional pocket knife) then its limitations stand out. Overall, I rate the MX Clip a 4.5/5 stars and would highly recommend the tool; it stands in a class of its own! Just be aware of the limitations with the knife (if that matters to you).

I think i made a good purchase, obviously im a big fan of victorinox knives, so I will keep buying this brand, the best.
