Really helpful
These are super simple tools that can make a big difference in how your smallish pots/mugs/bowls turn out. The flared design helps to make sure that the lips of your cups/mugs flare out just a bit, which makes them easier to drink from. I don't do a good job of centering my clay so I tend to have rims that are uneven but this tool helps me to even them out without damaging the rest of the pot/mug.You have to be a little careful not to push them down too hard into your piece as they can adhere and be difficult to pull out. Just letting the clay dry for a bit fixes that though. They are probably 3D printed but they are nice and thick and should be quite durable. My biggest problem is just remembering that I have these! I should probably use them on every single thing I throw but only remember about half the time. Others in my studio remember that I have them though and they ask to use them.

Would recommend
Overall these clay pot rounders function well. They appear to be well made and look like they were 3d printed, but are durable. It is nice to have a few different sizes depending on the opening of your pot.

Good tool for beginners
These work well to give support especially if your clay is a little wet. Be cautious if you use as the edges will mark and even cut the clay. Great addition for a beginner like me. Only complaint is the size of the largest isn't as big as it appeared in the listing.

Good Rim Tools
My wife says: As a hobby potter I have spent considerable time through the years searching the studio for round shapes that will help perfect the rims of mugs, vases, bowls, etc. that I am making. Terra cotta flower pots have been my favorites but these Rim Cone Pottery Tools are purpose-made for the job. Each one will be suited for a range of inside diameters. Remembering that there needs to be a margin at the top and bottom of the cones I estimate that:- the XS should work for pots with an inside diameter of approximately 1 1/2"- 1 3/4"- the S should work for approximately 2"-2 3/4"- the M should work for approximately 2 3/4" - 3 3/4"I have no doubt that these rim cones will see considerable use.

A handy tool for pottery artists
I do pottery and make a lot of mugs. These tools are great for maintaining a round shape. I do a lot of carving on my mugs and my form can easily get distorted. These tools work really well. They are especially helpful when attaching the handle when extra pressure is used to ensure a solid attachment. The tool shapers are made with a durable plastic and has a handy handle in the middle to easily remove after using. There are three different sizes. I’m not sure how often I’ll be using the smallest one but the medium and large size will be great for the cylinder forms I make on the potters wheel.

Great size selection for keeping mug rims round
I have been throwing loads of thumb print mugs lately. The rim shapers are great for keeping the rim round when I am squeezing the size to add a thumb print effect. They are light weight and they don't seem to stick to the clay when I pull them out.

One of my best pottery tools
I have never been so excited at 3 pieces of plastic before!I am a hobbyist ceramist and I prefer hand building to wheel throwing.I make pots and cups among other small sculptures. When I make round pots and cups I use a terracotta pot to round them up. It works just as well as these plastic ones, but they're heavy to carry around and I mostly work at the local Comm center. These plastic shapers are very lightweight yet really hard plastic that won't bend. I love that they have a handle in the middle so they can be held easily while shaping. The largest diameter is 4" on the medium size. Now I need a large size too.

Rim Cone Pottery Tools
I wish these tools were around when I was going to school for ceramics. It would have made my cups easier to be round and not wobbly round. These three pieces are thick and hard plastic. They do not bend nor are they flexible. The sizes are:1) XS (extra small) =1.25" (inches) diameter on the bottom; 2" diameter on the top; 1-1/8" tall.2) S (small) = 2" diameter on the bottom; 2-7/8" diameter on the top; 1.75" tall.3) M (medium) = 2.5" on the bottom; 3-7/8" diameter on the top; 2.25" tall.I wished there was a 'L' (large) and XL (extra large) one for big plant pots.I am not working with clay right now but I know when I do I will have a lot of fun working with these.
