This is the first time I have ordered vanilla beans. I really don't know much about vanilla beans, but these seem to be of good quality. I ordered now, so the beans will work their magic for Christmas gifts.

Nobody is perfect, thus the 4 stars. Got everything today and am making vanilla extract for myself, family and friends. As I have to wait for 3-4 months before I can test it won't have a definite answer until then. Overall appearance of what I got looks good and the smell was fantastic. In that I know nothing about vanilla beans I will say I appreciate the package that I got and while exploring the web site was impressed with what I saw. If my vanilla extract comes out like I hope will being more business with this company in the future.

Beans fit perfectly in 8oz bottle
I ordered 8oz stopper bottles so of course, I needed to order vanilla beans to go with them!I had grade A that I use for baking etc but for vanilla extract, it calls for grade B. Something about the beans being drier making them better for soaking in the vanilla for 6months to a year!They were packaged carefully in an airtight bag. There were indeed 55. They sliced down the centers with relative ease using a sharp paring knife. Plenty of tiny vanilla inside the beans!These beans stand up and fit perfectly without any trimming in the 8.5 oz stopper bottle in the picture. (Also purchase in Amazon of course!). Next time around, I’m trying the 4oz bottles so that I can make more for gifting. I was late in getting them ready for this year, but I’m now ahead for next year!

Pretty good- not as big as usual....
Pretty Good Beans, I've bought these before many times. This batch was smaller, and lessplump than any prior batch. They will still work, but they are not as good as I expected.I will try again. billooltewah
