God of Fury is a story that I think may push some readers and may not exactly work for everyone but I was so fascinated in the growth that we see our couple go through within this story. I had such a fun time with this match up because on the surface you wouldn't think that these two would have anything in common, but when it comes to the heart and mind....they truly find what they need in each other but their journey is a battle. First Line What am I doing here? Summary So the setup of the story is that we have our two male protoganists: Bran and Niko. Niko is the psychopath of the two. He is such an alpha male, and he has his eye on Bran and wants him more than anything. So much so that he is losing interest in what he normally has interest in. Then we have Bran, who has his own mental struggles he has been battling it, and is more of a demisexual. So we see how struggles being in relationships...until Niko. Niko has him feeling things especially more sexually that he has never really experienced but he has always considered himself straight, and doesn't know how to face up to being attracted to Niko in the way that he is. There is this pull and push between Niko and Bran on what they have and if its worth fighting for....will Bran be able to fight for Niko and their love before Niko gives up on him completely? What I Loved Wow! this book packed such a punch and I was there for the ride that this author takes us on. I absolutely adored Niko so much. He was a hoot. Seriously this character had me laughing all over the place. He is such a anti hero and its delicious. I have always loved Niko though and if you have read the other books in the series you are very familiar with his crazy. Then we have Bran who is the prentious prideful of his group of friends. Bran has been the character that we have seen to be the most mysterious. We just know he is the serious twin, but his character is more in the background. In God of Fury we get to see his story and see his background and his story melted my heart and broke it just a bit. What we see Bran struggle with was so heartbreaking. Through much of the story you aren't sure what he is struggling with exactly or what trauma he was dealt, but you know its pretty bad and you know his family is ignorant of it. He has kept it hidden and for years has been dealing with severe depression and is on the verge of being suicidal. I really connected with his character and his struggles. I think if any reader has dealt with depression of any kind, they will be able to see so much of themselves within Bran's character. So the romance is very push and pull. Bran is always on the run and Niko is the one chasing. But there is so much more happeni9ng with Bran than meets the eye. Niko knows that there is something deeper driving Bran's fear then just him coming out of the closet as gay. But Bran is on the run not just sexually or physically but also very emotionally. Niko is pretty patient considering the fact that he is a bit of a psychopath. We see how much he is having to deal with but also knowing that their relationship is practically forbidden and that Bran's twin is his greatest enemy. What we see being developed within the plot was so superb. It kept me on edge all the way through. What will really carry the reader through though is the depth of their relationship. I loved the feel of cat and mouse play game that these two go through and the third act was simply perfection. I knew going into this what was ahead for this one and its hard to see but Rina Kent really handled this scene so very well. I was highly impressed with how it was handled, and seeing how the family and especially Niko deals with it, just breaks your heart. But these two come out on top in the happily ever after and Kent has created such a unique dynamic romance that melted my heart from beginning to end. Spoiler (view spoiler) What I Struggled With The pacing in this book dragged a bit in some parts. The middle section of the story kinda was a bit slow at times. So I feel like there were aspects to the battle between Niko and Bran going back and forth that could have been reduced just a bit because it did get slightly repetitive. But I only knocked off half a star for this element as the rest of the story was a win for me. Overall View God of Fury is a powerful story that tugs at your heartstrings and melts your heart at the deep vibrant emotion that carries the romance through. Its a story of identity, growth and learning to heal past wounds and embrace the love that is steady and impactful. Favorite Quote(s) Seems that Bran runs way deeper than I thought, but as he hangs on to me as if I’m his only anchor, I know that I’ll never let him go. Not even if I burn with him. For him. In him. My poor, tortured Bran— whose tortured soul broke my heart. I cried for him, wishing I could give him the biggest hug and remind him of his worth. Good book, great audio
This is a dark mm romance full of angst but it is perfectly balanced with humor primarily from the Nikolai character but in general throughput the characters. I enjoyed the story, though it did not feel original compared to other similar mm dark angsty romances, there is uniqueness embedded in its intricate story. What made this experience fantastic was the wonderful duet narration of the audio book, and particularly Teddy Hamilton's portrayal of the unhinged, sunshine mmc Nikolai. Wow, I loved teddy Hamilton before but this performance cemented him as an ace of male narration.

Emotional, intense, and SO addictive — my favorite in the series
God of Fury (Legacy of Gods, Book 5 – Standard Edition) completely consumed me. It’s still dark and intense like the rest of the series, but this one hit different emotionally. The chemistry is fire, the tension is nonstop, and the relationship development feels surprisingly deep and heartfelt alongside all the chaos. The characters are layered and messy in the best way, and I loved watching them collide—equal parts obsession, vulnerability, and that “I shouldn’t want this but I do” pull. The pacing is perfect (I couldn’t stop turning pages), and the emotional moments landed hard without dragging the story down. As always, check trigger warnings because it’s a darker romance, but if you’ve been reading the series, this one is a must. And if you’re picking one to be your “favorite,” this might be it.

Absolute Favorite
There are no words for the feeling of finding that book—the one you can pick up a hundred times and still love with the same fierce devotion. The one that makes you cry at lines you know by heart, laugh at moments you’ve memorized, and feel seen in ways you didn’t expect. The one you can quote without thinking. For me, this is that book. Brandon is a man who believes he’s beyond repair. A traumatic event from his teenage years has shaped the way he sees himself, and he’s trapped in that pain. To the rest of the world, he’s flawless—calm, controlled, happy. But inside, he’s struggling, and he hides his hurt in ways no one ever notices. Then Nikolai crashes into his life and completely upends everything. He doesn’t fix Brandon—he simply shows him. Shows him how to feel again, how to love, how to be angry, joyful, silly, passionate. He gives Brandon space to breathe, to be messy, to exist without pretending. With Nikolai, Brandon finally learns what it means to be whole, not perfect. Their banter is sharp and hilarious. The story is rich, emotional, and beautifully written. It’s deep, it’s funny, and it’s absolutely perfect. And if you’re a fan of MM romance—honestly, shame on you if you haven’t read this yet, because you have no idea what you’re missing. This book is perfection in every single way.

Best book ever!!!
Wow! Fabulous book. Loved it!!! Wish I could give it ten stars instead of just five! It was heartbreaking, emotional, intense, funny, sad and beautiful. This was by far the best book in the God Of series. By far!! Bran and Nico were outstanding together. They were the best characters in this series. They had fantastic chemistry. Nico made me laugh out loud so many times. He was unhinged but also fiercely loyal and protective. His story with Bran was beautiful. And the sex was hot, hot, hot. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Spicy as hell. I will most definitely be reading this again. For sure!!

Rina Kent you’ve done it again!!!
My opinion, my likes, and guess what? Rina Kent just delivered another win for me. I just finished God of Fury and I’m still sitting here, letting it all sink in. I needed to pause, reread, and let certain chapters wash over me. Because this one, It hit different. I didn’t care one bit that this was an MM romance it carried just as much weight, passion, and depth as any other love story I’ve read. Actually, it gave more. It was about pain, healing, connection, and acceptance. After sticking with this series, I’ve grown close to these characters like they’re real people. They’ve lived rent free in my mind, and every new book pulls me deeper into their tangled world. God of Fury didn’t let go it grabbed me from the start and wouldn’t loosen its grip. Let’s talk Niko. That man made me laugh out loud, sometimes at the worst times ruthless, wild, unpredictable and yet, the softest when it comes to the people he protects. He’s chaos with a heart. And I ate up every second of his madness. Then there’s Bran. Sweet, broken, complicated Bran. His quiet strength, his internal battles, his fear of being seen for who he really is it shattered me. His trauma was written so raw and honest, it hurt to read. But I felt him. Every bit of his struggle, every step of his healing journey, it was real. And I loved him all the more for it. Together, Niko and Bran are explosive. Niko’s dominance and recklessness clashing with Bran’s intellect and quiet power it was magic. Their love wasn’t just hot, it was earned. And Rina Kent? She nailed every beat of it. The ending! Bran opening up and letting himself be truly seen it was one of the most powerful, emotional moments I’ve read in a long time. I cried. That moment was everything. Rina Kent, thank you. For the darkness, for the light, for making me feel everything in between. God of Fury was raw, emotional, intense, and unforgettable.

Bran & Nikolai
First time MM read for me. I was obsessed with their push pull relationship. They had a power over each other that only each other can give. Bran, the mysterious good guy that never had been with a man and Nikolai, the unhinged open book that has been all over the map in bed. The calming effect of Bran for Nikolai and the safety net Bran found in Nikolai. I cried for them both and boy did I laugh too. I’m a Landon girly through and through and ugh the brotherly love in this one had my heart HURTING! This story earned all my highlights, all my tears and all of my laughs!
