Great looking knife. The holster is a little different so may end up getting a new holster for it. Blade is sharp.

This SOG HQ Edition Bowie knife is very well made. looks very cool and will get any job done that you would need a knife like this for done. The spine of the blade has a saw tooth design to cut and clear through branches and other obstacles. It comes with a hard sheath that has many mounting / carry options. I have been a fan of, SOG products since my early 90's career in the military, buying my first SOG in a base exchange, deployment overseas, and SOG has never let me down,brought me home and came along with me. I still own every single one of my greatest tactical carry knifes.If I had any very minor gripe at all and I am nit picking it would be that SOG needed to pay just a little more attention when consistently sharpening the curve of this blade. No big deal I always sharpen my knifes on a stone anyway. Out of the box this knife is shave your hair sharp in some areas and semi-sharp in other spots. Maybe it is just this one knife that missed the sharpening stones perfectly at the factory. Don't get me wrong this blade is sharp enough everywhere but I am OCD when it comes to the performance of all my tactical products. SOG nailed the design and 5 star production of this knife and that is just what I rated it.

Found this knife at a local Sporting Goods Store and saw the price and said I bet Amazon has it and sure enough they do. The only reason I give it three stars is because its Chinese made, the sheath is something that I dont think Id trust, and Im not sure if I use this knife to cut anything that it will maintain an edge. What it does have going for it is the fact that it has a really agressive sawback that you could use on small branches. The sheath is somewhat flimsy and the way it attaches to a belt just worries me. Lets not even talk about the way the knife is held in place as again, it seems like the catch is going to slip and there goes your knife lost somewhere in the woods where you dont even know. The only thing SOG related to this knife is the fact that they put the SOG initials on it and thats about it. Dont get me wrong, a lot of things from China are actually good products but this knife has me scratching my head going, is this thing really going to work as a knife when I need it to?

Good quality. Nice handle. Not sure about full tang.Have a comparable Mtech ( abortion of construction) from Big 5.This ones lighter and of simpler construction.Added a thigh strap for belt carry.Cuts. Chops.

This bowie knife is much, much sharper than what I expected. It's a nice size for the hand, and comes with a robust sheath. Don't mess around with this thing, it's meant for business.
