Traditional Handmade Longbow Horsebow,Hunting Recurve Archery Bow,Recurve Bow Set

where I thought this would be an overgrown toy it has the pull of a hunting bow, about as accurate with this as with my good-old longbow, shoots a little less distance, but the wind was changing so ill have to do it again, the only thing I didn't like is that there is no easy way to order replacement strings (i always keep an extra with my bow) and a standard string for a recurve bow will not fit if it has the traditional one big loop one small loop, both loops need to be over 2 inches for it to fit, a link to the right string would be useful, also the quiver allows you to carry 3 arrows, no more and the design makes it awkward to carry on a belt and has no strap (or hooks to add a strap) to carry over the shoulder, solid piece, better than I expected for the price, really good looking, minor flaws, overall happy with it, I will update when and if something fails

I purchased this for a friend looking for a 35# bow for his grandson who already has a 20# and 25# bow. My friend and I had to shoot a few test shots once it was unpacked and we saw how nice it looked. At 50' we were both able to shoot the target consistently after few familiarization shots (no arrow rest on bow). We are both impressed with it's looks and performance. The arrows that come with it... These arrows are not archery arrows, the arrows are heavy and the iron (possibly steel) tips are more of an armor piercing design. They do have turkey feather fletching which (IMO) is nice but they seem better suited to mounting on a wall than shooting at targets. The bow string wax is a nice bonus but the finger guards and other things are next to useless. I can make no claims about durability as this bow is very new yet.

I was very careful, and very sure checking all descriptions and photos while painstakingly researching this, and all similar items. I bought it for a friend who wants to get into archery after shooting with me one day, and she commented how she would like to have a holder/quiver for the bow itself... so when i shopped, i looked for a kit that included a bow quiver. This kit HAD ONE, in both the photo and the description. So i bought it. Imagine my dismay when i opened the box, which had no padding, and wasn’t very well secured. At first i thought the quiver must have been stolen out of the box, so i quickly went and looked at the item back on Amazon. The picture and description had been edited. Some corporate bean-counter must have decided to save a few pennies and increase profits by keeping the price the same while quietly eliminating an item from the kit. I knew i was right when i went back and checked the reviews, and several customers mentioned the BOW QUIVER in their reviews. SHAME, CORPORATE BEAN-COUNTER!!! Busted! Otherwise, the bow is perfect and beautiful, the accessories (missing the quiver!) are are great, the arrows good quality (but needing target points, not hunting broadheads: who hunts with a 25# bow?) and so i didn’t send it back. Overall a good package for the price. Just beware alterations in the order when you aren’t looking!

Bought this bow for LARPing purposes after the first one I purchased arrived and ended up exceeded the maximum draw weight (max. 35lbs, bow tested at 40lbs but ordered 25lbs). However, once this one arrived it was perfect! At a 28" draw it tested a few pounds lower than 30lbs (the draw weight I ordered) and it performs wonderfully out on the field! It's the most fantasy-looking bow on the field as well and definitely popular with the group! I definitely recommend this bow for fellow LARPers wanting a good traditonal bow for a good price.

The bow is the most beautiful part of this package. After it is retired it will surely be a nice decoration. The arrows however fly somewhat decent a though they all have curves to them and 2/3 of the arrowheads fell off after about 5 minutes of shooting into a soft foam broad head target. I will be emailing them to see if I can have these arrows replaced and will keep this review updated on the customer service section. Bow shoots accurately according to the user and has good flex without fear of breakage, it is a 28 inch pull @ 40 lbs and my draw length is 31-32 inches it feels just fine. PS. Don’t plan to utilize the leather hand protection. It seems it is made for children or small girls. I am 5 foot 10 198 LBs lean build not particularly huge hands and i can maybe squeeze 2 fingers into the hand guard lol. Not a reason to not purchase though I don’t need hand protection either way.

it arrived quick and with no damage . light weight quick , bow the arrows are what they are but your not ordering this for the arrows if a point comes off do what I did buy some 4000 psi weatherproof wood glue and put it back . simple the finger tab is effective , if your planning to use a thumb draw get a thumb guard unless u got ape hands which ...let's face it some of you have ...a great little shooter could be priced a bit lower or keep the same price and keep the finger tab and include a leather adjustable thumb guard which is traditional!
