So much "BANG!" for your buck with this! I just moved into my own 'by appointment only' space so I keep my doors locked when I'm with a Client. The issue I wanted to resolve (before it became an issue) was how to know when a Client arrived without staring at the door or leaving them knocking because I couldn't hear them. I skipped on the video doorbells due to their cost. If someone stole it...UGH! Since I have a large window at the front of my suite and a glass door (which are all mirror tinted) the video bell wasn't necessary either. I wanted to find something where I could control when it worked and if it were to be stolen..how upset would I be? This is the PERFECT solution! Just pop the battery into the unit and mount it on your door (or wherever) with the double stick tape provided. Then simply plug in the 'doorbell' and select the volume and ring type and you're ready to rock 'n roll! When I'm with a Client, I just unplug it. Easy enough!As for the rings..I found most of them incredibly annoying. I prefer a soft ring and not one that jolts me out of my skin. Of all the rings, there were maybe 2 (and I'm being generous) that didn't knock my socks off! Lots of 'ringtone' sounds including Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc.Happy I bought this and Clients are happy too! The only caveat will likely be that I'll have to reset the ringer tone each time I plug it back in but THANKFULLY it's at the beginning of the ringer selection.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATED On 06/28/2021. I purchased this 11/23/2018. It’s been dead but didn’t realize until now. I wondered why people weren’t ring doorbell but thought was because they knew I saw them or met them at door. After battery replaced, it was found the electrical piece of was dead. Additionally while my photo looks different than what the product it online when I came to write this review this is what it looks like at the time of purchase. Please see photo that you will see that does not light up on the electrical piece and it should have a blue light indicating it’s active. Being this cheap, I guess could be considered disposable, only lasting 2 years. Not what I’d expect even at this price especially considering you have continued build up of adhesive on your siding/outside.(Written 2018-Well this one seems to be doing better than the last. I decided to give this one a try seeing as how it appeared to be a little more durable on the outside door bell piece. So far it’s working. For this reason I have to give it five stars. Did you have to say I find it amazing how all of these different plug-in doorbells are putting thousands of songs on them which to me is unnecessary. Just give us a few to choose from if anything or none at all. Hardly find myself making it a different tune.)

It comes with a battery, a screwdriver to pry open the back and insert the battery, 3m two side tape to attach it and good instructions.It is for my service entrance by our front door. I plugged the base in 60 plus feet away. The signal makes it through a brick exterior wall, metal door and two interior walls.You can make it loud or soft. I can hear The chime while the shower runs.I like the seasonal sounds. You get New Years, Valentines Day, Christmas, Birthday, Graduation, etc. music plus the chimes to choose from.I like it far better than the fancy one that we put in when we built the house.It looks like a ring brand door bell from the street. Might deter a thief, don’t know.I am thinking of getting one my daughter in law so she can ring the grand kids room upstairs when it is dinner time.I attached it with my own velcro vs the tape it came with to make changing a battery easy when the time came.I do not thing it would be a snap to pry the top off to replace a battery. Might tear off paint.Velcro also makes it easy to remove and clean around it so it doesnt get wet. I would not put it where it gets wet. Doesnt seem waterproof.

I just set this Door Bell up today. The packaging is very nice. It reminded me of unpackaging an apple product. I wish the manual was larger than the approximate 3”x2” small booklet. I had to break out my lighted magnifier to read the small print.Right out of the box the default door chime was the simple, “Ding Dong”, which would work well for most people but I wanted a chime that was a little longer in duration.It took me over 10 minutes of trying to the get the proper door chime selection I wanted using the sync method in the Instructions. This was annoying. But once I got the correct chime selected, all seems well.I have unplugged the Receiver and plugged it back in, then pushed the bell button and my selected chime played perfectly! So far so good!

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to "install" (we never even read the directions)… put the battery in the ringer, plugged the receiver in near and far for testing, and chose a ring sound (we were happy to discover more than one "classic" doorbell sound). We attached the ringer to the door frame with the double-sided foam tape, which is very strong. It indeed works within the stated range, and is loud and clear without even using the highest setting. A nice thing for us, since we chose this one specifically for our clever beast to use, is that the entire surface of the ringer can be pressed with perfect results. That's pretty important when you're dealing with dog noses. Can't yet vouch for how it stands up to the elements (or the nose abuse!), but I'll edit this review if/when anything fails. Here's a video showing how easy it is for the dog to use, and that it works when you press the top as well (not just the bottom where the bell symbol is). Definitely recommend.

As my doorbell rang I realized that it has been over 5 years since I bought it here, and I still have not needed to replace the batteries!!This product is extremely reliable, the button outside is weathering the elements since 2018, in New England, and still rings every time someone presses it. There is an array of tones and the volume is easily adjustable. I highly recommend this product!!
