Few things on this router. The range is very good. I have brick home and I get range all the way outside. The router is located on 3rd floor I know it's best to keep it in centralized location but that's where my modem is and don't want to run a wire to 2nd floor. Regardless i get wifi throughout. 5gh band seems to be the strongest through walls but if you're close the 6gh aka wifi 7 is very strong. The 2.4 gh goes through the walls the best but 5gh seems to keep up np. I tried other routers tp link be800 and asus rtb96u and ge800 which by the way had a loud fan and this one gave me the best coverage. Asus came close but I was struggling with good connection in the basement. Rs700s holds the best signal. Set up was easy just take it off auto connect if you planning on connecting the old devices and name it as you had it on previous router and everything else should connect. I have 1gig up and 1 gig down and I get full 1gig on wireless connection on my cell phone. Not many devices have wifi 7. But it does offer wifi6e revere compatability which is good for iPad pro and other electronics that have wifi6 and wifi6e. So far I am happy . The old tp link was giving me 450mbps this gives me full 1gig speed. And holds alot of devices. I think it can handle up to 200 devices but I only have 33 connected. Bottom line ita great router wifi7. The only other router that came close to this is the Asus rtb96u which is large The ge800 tp link is good also but very loud with the built in fan . But if you looking for a good wifi 7 router rs700s I believe is best stand alone router. Next to Asus rtb96u. Hope this helps.

This router has never failed nor has I had to restart it for any reason. Yes indeed it is expensive but on the very same note, is very well worth it's price tag. I am so very excited that I dived in and made the purchase. Now, router wise I can say that I am set for the future. I'm using the 10G port to run my Linksys router as a sub router or secondary router and it works flawless. I have mine mounted on the wall using the Netgear wall mount which looks amazing. I have this unit paired with the Nighthawk CM2000 cable modem, a perfect match. The cool thing I like about this router is being able to use the app to control it from wherever I'm at, which means no you don't have to be tied down to your wifi in order to control this router. Love how cool it runs which makes me feel it will be around for some time. So far I only have like 26 devices connected through it excluding my Linksys router. This router is a must have if you are in the market for a new router. If not, it's a got to have. My streaming doesn't interfere with my large downloads and web surfing. One of the stand out features of this router to me is the ability to separate band by device. 2.4G, 5G etc. I simply can't say enough good things about this product. One thing I will say, if you are by chance having trouble with it, look elsewhere because this product is aimed to please. Something else that I like about this router is that it comes complete with a year of security which makes this an even more fabulous buy. The only con I came across this far is not having this unit sooner. It feels great to know that my service provider is no longer robbing me of the speed that I am paying for. I'm getting every drop of it now. Though I don't have a 3,500 square foot home, it's still good to know that this router will cover such distance. I have also noticed a difference when playing Gran Turismo, it seems much faster in my favor, because even when.I pull over to allow other players to pass me, I always regain the lead again. Even streaming seems even more clear and so much like natural TV. I'm heading into a month of using this router and it's still working just like the very first day of use. Money very well spent and not wasted. Again I will say, you get what you pay for.

This router works really well, and the range is impressive. I use it to stream my PC to my iPad Pro M4 through Steam Link, and I’m able to maintain a solid connection even when the router and my iPad are at the farthest points in my house. I can run Steam Link at the “Beautiful” quality setting, and performance is smooth most of the time. That said, it’s not a true Wi-Fi 7 experience since it lacks Multi-Link Operation (MLO), even though it’s marketed as Wi-Fi 7. MLO is supposed to allow devices to use multiple frequency bands simultaneously (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz), which could help reduce the small hiccups that happen when the router switches bands. Overall, performance and coverage are excellent, but it’s missing one of the key Wi-Fi 7 features that would make it feel more future-proof and seamless.
