This was exactly the authentic looking gun my 17 yr old son needed for his school project
My son told me on Saturday that he needed a gun, a holster, a cowboy hat, and a poncho, all by Sunday night for a movie he and his friend were doing in school on Monday! On top of that, his friend needed a gun and holster as well. It was totally my mistake for not reading the description, coupled with the insistence of my son that this came with 2 guns that I was purchasing, but I was a bit disappointed that it was, in fact, only one. I don’t do costumes, haven’t for many years so I had no idea how expensive these costume pieces are. From reading the reviews posted before me, clearly this is a good value for the money.I will say this. I told my 17 year old son that I was returning it, because $30 for something he’s only going to use one time, is more than I can really afford, he was adamant that he that he wanted to keep it. He said that he thought it was a pretty neat thing to have. When it arrived, I just handed him the package because the kids love when something I ordered for them is delivered. I say that because I never got a chance to even hold the thing, but to me, it definitely appeared to me that he was enjoying the way it felt. It’s absolutely NOT a cheap piece of plastic crap, like you’d get at Walmart! If you need a prop for a Western “whatever” and you want it to appear authentic, I would 💯recommend this gun!On a side note: He never got the other stuff. I couldn’t find them anywhere (except the poncho-he used my wrap around sweater 😂) In hind sight, I should have just ordered everything that he needed from Amazon the same day I did this. He didn’t mind though because, honestly, he was so happy with his gun! Yeah! ✔️ in the win column for mom!

Perfect for a costume, but not collectors.
Bought this for my boyfriend as a costume gift and he loved it. While the other reviewers are right--it says "made in China" on the side, has some brass screws, and the handle and stand are a bit cheap--the weight and look of the gun are really pretty neat. I'd recommend it for someone looking for a costume gun for some holsters that's not too pricey. The handle is made of smooth black plastic that could potentially come off sometime, but we had no issues with it. In the black and silver combo, it doesn't look too cheap or anything to me. But by the way it feels, maybe keep some epoxy around. The brass screws in the side are nothing a little silver paint can't handle. If you're not a gun expert, want a prop gun that feels good in hand, has some pretty detailing, and doesn't need to be a perfect replica, I'd say go for it.

Great quality . Bang for the buck.
Love this display model. Beautiful piece. I’m using it in my Western Themed man cave.its a nice heavy gun that looks realistic. Perfect for the Bunkhouse! The detail is very appealing to the eye, very pleased with this purchase.

Great value for the price
The media could not be loaded. I am pleasantly surprised by this product. Its a great replica of an 1851 Colt Navy percussion revolver. Cylinder turns (by hand, not by hammer), its got a nice heavy feel (1.7 lb I think), and this model is meant to look either “nickel plated” or “antique” (when the black metal fades over time. The hammer pulls back and the trigger releases it. It comes with a display stand. I’ve looked at probably a hundred videos and photos of the Colt Navy and this reproduction is very accurate. Even down to the screws and separate plate for the trigger guard. The only inaccuracies are the “made in china” plate, black handle instead of wooden handle, and the fact that its silver instead of black (original models were black with brass handle frame and trigger guard). Honestly, if you’re looking for something more accurate, you may have to buy a more expensive product. For $30, this is a fun display, prop, or toy, your choice.

Mid. Mid west
To be honest it looks good, but when you finally put in your hands you can tell it's poorly put together. Parts were lose, plastic, and the hammer got stuck a few times. The trigger is weird it pulls back even when the hammer isn't back. I don't regret my purchase because it looks really good for display. I bought it to spin and it's wayyy to heavy. Over all its mid <<< *average*

Impressive Cos Play Revolver
This revolver is heavy and is super cool. It's between a toy and a replica. The cylinder spins but does not open. The handle and stand are plastic, but the rest is metal.

Looks can be deceiving
Now I may not be the smartest person ever, but I just don’t think this is a prop gun. I could be wrong, it could be a super secret spy weapon.
