Simplicity, shock resistance & slim
Awesome lil Casio Gshock it's not bulky I use for work I'm in maintenance so I need a slim basic watch, it's great nastoilga for me I had a similar one when was a kid, however this G shock resistance plain Jane while being stylish for the price it's really good. Buttons are sunk in so you don't accidentally push a button my other one was big and bulky. I have nice watches however This one is perfect to beat up or to just wear. All you need is time, date, alarm, stop watch & lil led light. weighs nothing streamlining around your wrist you can get you arm in places other watches are too bulky for. Highly recommended watch if you like the retro look. Easily visible I went with color black.

Great watch, great investment of money.
I consider this g shock the direct evolution of my f 91 w and i really like how good it looks, strenght, comfort, cost nothing and simplicty of use, i also have another g shok in "woodland" camo but you need to be a freaking engineer to make it work unlike this one right here.

Amazing watch!
Can’t complain at all. Sturdy, excellent quality, has anything one might need. Alarms, backlight, durable, it has been with me 5 years and I totally abuse it. I take it with me to pool practice, motorcycle trips, hiking and still going like a champ. If you want a simple watch with some functions and everlasting, this is your way to go.

My new favorite watch
I own quite a few watches, and several G-shocks. I bought this one on a whim when it was on sale. It is the least expensive G-shock I’ve seen, but it has become my favorite watch, a daily go-to. Of course it has all the things that make G-shock watches great. This is what sets this model apart for me: Style: the classic black square G-shock case with a white pinstripe looks great. Simplicity: it has all the basic features, but nothing more. That’s all I need. Visibility: the new LED backlight is fantastic, and aids readability in all type of light. Budget: I don’t worry about this watch. It wouldn’t break my heart to lose it, because it didn’t cost much and I could easily replace it. This is a great watch, if you’re considering it you’ll probably love it.

Minimalist watch, Great Value.
The watch is just phenomenal. I don't keep my watches stock. Ordered the transparent mod for it. Changed the whole look of the car. Love the watch, worth every penny or fils. Haha

Great watch. Band is short.
I've been wearing this style of watch for approximately 15 yrs. It is much more durable than the Iron Man or similar watches. I work in a physical environment and it has taken all the punishment I could give it. I have also worn the watch while covered in mud, snowboarding, scuba diving and all kinds of other outdoor, hot, cold wet and/or rough activities. Again, the watch keeps working great. I also like that it constantly displays the day of week and date on the main display. I also like that it does not have a lot of useless display items that distract from the time/date. It may not be a "fashion" watch, but for the money it’s most reliable and durable watch you will find. Downsides - The battery will usually last about 3 yrs. When you change the battery it is difficult to reseal and maintain the waterproof integrity of the watch, be very careful taking it apart and putting it back together, don’t tear or install the o-ring wrong or it will leak and the watch will be destroyed. Only other issue is the watch band. It holds up fine for a year or two, but then the rubberized band can start to crack where the buckle tongue sticks through. This is why I eventually had to buy this watch... I tried to buy replacement bands, but they are almost half the price of a new watch and the replacement band reviews all seem to indicate that they are all "almost" like originals, but shorter or don’t fit quite right (my old G-Shock is 4 yrs old and still on the original battery so I figured I would just get a new watch and not have to change the battery soon) and the reviews. So I bought this watch, and guess what... the band is a full inch shorter than my old watch! Very frustrating. I can wear the watch, but it is hook on the next to last hole, but this barely allows the watch band tail to be tucked under the retaining loop. I don’t know whey they are now making the bands shorter, I can only assume that Casio is trying to save a few pennies on rubber... Because of the shorter band I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5.

My personal favorite gshock right now
Gshock is well known at this point and if you're looking for a basic rugged watch with a classic design, you don't need anything else. The improved LED backlight is a welcome addition and the rubber body helps with protecting the main unit. Yes it's a bit rigid, but it's still adjustable. Having the alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch helps and seeing the time in the upper right during some other modes. It just works.

THE GOAT
Guys I am not exaggerating when I say, this watch is indestructible. I have had this watch for almost 5 years and work in water distribution. This his watch has been under water, sprayed with high pressure water blasting from a water main completely covered in mud hundreds of times. It withstood all of these things on the daily. Sucker still works like a charm. Still haven't had to change the battery, though I think I may be getting close. I paid $39 for this 5 years ago so the $99 lost price seems greedy to me at this point. Nonetheless a very good watch, but I could not justify spending a $100 on a watch I'm going to get dirty/wet and covered with mud on a daily basis.
