I’m a sucker for a domed bezel and a dark gray face. This Timex Marlin is a stunner. I have a small wrist and the 41mm case is a sweet spot looking a bit oversized but not clunky. I have the panda chronograph as well, but honestly I think this color combination with the polished chrome bezel and polished brass hands, markers and pushers really make this a classy looking piece. What I love about Timex is it’s absolutely not a vanity brand. There’s no ego here. Just a nice looking watch that’s affordable. This one is quartz and so far it keeps great time with zero effort. I don’t have to remember to put it on a charger. It doesn’t tell me I have an unopened email. I don’t get spam calls. It tells the time. That’s it. And that’s enough. Super happy to add this to my collection.

I purchased another watch that was beautiful online but when I received it, was way oversized. Returned it and took my time looking for another watch. I was disappointed at the high prices I was finding for a quality watch. My son suggested shopping Timex. I was so happy I did. The only tough time I had was picking which Marlin watch to buy. Once I received it, it is the perfect size for my wrist. This is a well made watch, very good looking, and priced fair. When people ask me what brand watch is that? I proudly tell them it’s a Timex! I am buying my son a Timex for Christmas!

I’m not sure why this marlin isn’t getting enough coverage on reviews. Everyone is obsessed with the grey panda and I do own the grey panda along with gold panda and I think this one looks the best out of all the marlins. They advertise this as a Grey marlin but it looks more black

This is a lovely watch for the price. This will get equal wrist time to my Seikos, Omega, Orient, etc. Timex nailed it with this one, making something I love to wear at a very reasonable price. Just the right amount of “flashy” without being obnoxious about it. Added a few photos under different lighting conditions to get an idea of the color.

Nice watch but the acrylic sphere instead of mineral glass is a weakness, since its curved it scratches easily while wearing it every day. Timex is getting expensive and the quality material are not top like other brand of the same prices.

This is a beautiful watch, BUT! It comes with out any knid of paperwork other than a warning to "not eat batterys". How do you opperate the chronograph? That your problem. Go to You Tube? You can get help there, but the Chronograph does not respond to reset opperation. Iv had it for several days now but still have no idea how to reset the sub dials to zero. $200.00 spent, now I have to go to the trouble to return it, and am without a watch for another 10 days or so! I'm not happy.

This was an impulse buy on sale at around US$115. I'm really pleased with how it looks and feels in person. Fits v well on a 6.5" wrist. Although I've been leaning towards sub-40mm watches, this doesn't feel big. The lugs have a nice curve and the domed crystal helps keep it feel compact. The gold accents are tastefully done and catch the light nicely. In person, the applied gold indices pop more than expected while the printed logo and number markers are more subtle. It's definitely a shiny one, so be prepared for that. The case is a basic all polish finish but is nicely angled which creates visual interest. Watch face is a matt black with sunburst brushing for the sub dials. Creates a nice contrast. Legibility isn't great esp in low light esp since there's no lume. Anti reflective coating could be better too. Leather strap is pretty decent at this price point too. Happy to use it. Packaging wasn't good, didn't even have bubble wrap and watch box was just in an envelope. Thankfully there was no damage. Overall, v happy with this purchase esp in good light. At this price its a steal.

The gold-tone accents give the watch an elegant feel suitable for formal occasions. However do take note that the dial is black as per the product description and not grey in the picture.
