The Hutch Company 4ft Chartwell Rabbit & Guinea Pig Single-Tier Hutch

After a small hiccup with the order, I received my hutch from the Hutch Company and must say I am extremely pleased with it. It was very easy to assemble for just one person and has ample space for my two little guinea pigs although I have had to make a small barrier around the ramp opening until they are used to the hole being there. It is really easy to clean and looks very smart and well finished. I also got the hutch hugger waterproof protector and have used it a number of times when there has been a downpour and think it will be a must when the weather gets colder as I will be leaving the hutch outdoors. It is well made and a very good fit. I can highly recommend both hutch and hugger.

This is a fab little rabbit hutch. It’s sturdy and really well made. It’s tall enough that my rabbits can stand up on their back legs inside it. There’s enough space for the litter tray and some toys. It’s quite dark inside though once the top is on. Mine are indoor rabbits so I can’t comment on weatherproof. However the instructions are terrible. They may as well have not provided them. There are no pre-drilled holes in any of the sections so you will need a drill. And it’s definitely a 2 person job. It took about an hour to put together. Other than the assembly it’s great and I can’t fault it.

I am so pleased with this rabbit hutch and so is my bunny. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one and honestly wish I'd bought it sooner. Worth every penny! A lovely spacious and versatile hutch. I have one Netherland Dwarf but it is suitable for more. My old hutch was a double but the lower compartment had no floor, and a tiny metal door which made cleaning the hutch an impossible task. This hutch is solid with very thick sides and back. Both floor compartments painted with green, easy clean material. All doors open wide for easy access. You can shut off top floor if required as there is a hatch door which can be clipped up out of the way. Super quick delivery. All pieces clearly marked for assembly. I highly recommend. Excellent hutch quiet large inside as we have a large rabbit and there’s plenty of room for him to move about not like his old hutch as he practically touched the sides, very well made easy to put together by myself and close to the ground as our rabbit loves to hop in and out when he’s got the run of our garden so it’s a thumbs up all round

On first blush the cage is impressive given the tut on offer for similar money elsewhere. The disappointment comes though in the 3mm thick plywood used for the back panels and both floors, you just know it won't last long before it needs replacing with something thicker. The sides of the cage are completely different - nice sturdy looking tongue and groove panels, even the opening parts are fairly robust....it's just a shame that longevity has been undermined by the specification of such thin plywood in key areas.

Hubby says it was simple to assemble. All parts fitted together well. I’m most impressed with the height of each “floor” bunny can stand on back legs and stretch right up. Have lined the base with easy to wipe vinyl and then thick cardboard and straw. Easy to scrape old bedding into a bag as the doors open nice and wide. All in all I’m happy I paid a bit extra to get a decent wellMade hutch for our grandson’s bunny x

This hutch is sturdy and very spacious. We have set it up ready for our rabbit, who is in her run at the moment.I gave it 5 stars as it was easy to assemble. You need 2 people and it would be better with an electric screw driver.It is sturdy and with the cover on, should be secure and warm and dry.The ramp seems quite steep but our little rabbit is very able so should get up and down it ok!Not sure how easy it will be to clean as it does not have pull out trays. However, it is big enough to hold a litter tray, so if my rabbit goes to the loo in that, then it will be very easy to clean!!I am very happy with this product!

Read reviews and I was nearly put off buying but I can say came complete nothing damaged arrived within 24 hours even though they said a few days. Very easy to put together very sturdy. As my two elderly rabbits (nearly 9 years) no longer needed a big hutch as they rarely went upstairs they love to run in there large run which they have access to 24 hours a day this was perfect and secured with enough chicken wire to keep the rats out which was a problem.
