Such a wonderful, hilarious ending!
I'll keep this short and sweet, but if you've followed and loved The Vicar Of Dibley over the years, then you owe it to yourself to see how the story comes to an end. The last two episodes of the show are up there with its best and contain what is easily some of the biggest laughs the show has ever seen (the 'It Should Have Been Me!" sequence will forever be one of my favourites!). It's such a joyful and romantic conclusion to the show, and it cements itself as one of the best comedies the BBC have ever put out. This DVD also comes with a behind the scenes feature that follows the cast and crew as they filmed the show over the years, and it's just as entertaining to see the off-screen laughs and sense of friendship and family among everyone, as it is watching the show.

The Vicar of Dibley - Holy Wholly Happy Ending
Idly googling Richard Armitage (having just discovered North and South) I found clips of this on Youtube, and it made me laugh so much I bought the dvd. I was not dissapointed. Dribbling over Harry aside, I have now stumbled on this excellent and truly amusing comedy and have since watched earlier material. Amusing characters that defy belief and interesting theme; female clergy. My boys think the dream/song sequence is the funniest thing ever, (although sadly are not able to watch the series due to it's mainly 12 content). I love happy endings, and this is what Geraldine ultimately deserved. Dawn French - you are a national treasure.

This Is A Real 5 Star Christmas Classic Vicar Of Dibley DVD
Been after this for a very long time especially the " Three Christmas Dinners " special episode. We were splitting our sides with laughter here tonight and my daughter was so very pleased that at last we now have a copy in her words " Christmas Is Now Complete " Dawn French and all the cast at there very best.

Dawn at her early best
The earlier episodes were the best. The scripts, whilst funny and gently teasing the rural C of E coping with a woman vicar, who is lively and interesting and more intelligent than the yokels and the trenchant Conservatism. The sprout eating contest and the Easter Egg hunt are the highlights of these two episodes. The later episodes with affairs, speed dating and other things are less believable in a genuine vicar.

Crazy and romantic
I was new to the Vicar od Dibley, and found these two episodes extremely funny. The romantic turn doesn't make them less so.. Uplifting. Richard Armitage is absolutely charming in a less gruff way than usual. Oh, and the extras offer an interesting take on an important theme such as the ordaining of women by the Church of England.
