Son loves it!
He asked for a real axcelotyl and I wasn’t going to do that lol! This is fun and interactive for him. And at the end of the day I can throw it in the toy bin and forget it!

My daughter loves her axolotl. It swims and tells you your mood. She loves it and would recommend for the axolotl lovers.

Not working.
As soon as I had it out of the package it didn’t work so I thought it was the batteries. Changed the batteries ( same price as if I was to just buy a new toy ) and it still doesn’t work. Wish I could get my money back on it cuz it wasn’t worth it.

The toy is cute and works but paid WAY OVER PRICE. Couldn’t find it anywhere so bought here but these are at Walmart for $15 SAVE THE MONEY the rating is based on the price

Cute and fun, does what it says
Very cute toy I got on impulse. It seems well designed and does a variety of things- lights, sounds, and tail swish. It does have a sensor on the bottom and head for touch. It also has a water sensor on the bottom that triggers tail swish and lights. It swims ok, not fast but it does swim. I do want to note for some reason it has holes in the head between the eyes and I don't know why when it gets water in it?? Make sure you dump out the head and dry off when done.It is made from a variety of plastics, the feet and tail are actually a soft very flexible rubbery plastic while the body is firm. The clear "tentacles" are slightly soft.I wasn't sure it made very many sounds but I realized sometimes it tends to repeat. I don't really understand the "mood" mode, I guess it makes some noise and shows a random color.The on/off button is below the head ans is a soft press that pops up or down slightly.Pros:-Very cute design-Nice size-Makes a variety of electronic sounds and short songs-Lights are cute and several colors-SwimsNitpicks:-Only the top "tentacle" lights up, it looks like they all should-Seems watertight, but why are there holes in the head of a water feature toy??-I wish sounds could be reduced in volume or muted-I'm not sure if the tail motion or toy overall would hold up to rougher bathtub playI got it for 15 at a blue and yellow logo place. I don't think I'd spend more but I do think it was worth that.
