This is a beautiful knife. It's weighted perfectly
This is a beautiful knife. It's weighted perfectly, and fits in the hand just so. It's on the slightly smaller side of chef's knives, but I currently find myself reaching for this knife far more than my (very nice) 10" knife. It has a line of dimples along the side. I've not really noticed much reduction in items sticking to the knife, but I suppose it helps manage the weight and it does look attractive. I've been careful to hone the blade regularly with a ceramic rod, and while it's only been 2 weeks, it feels exactly as sharp as the day I took it out of the box. Speaking of the box, it's carefully presented in a very nice package. It definitely adds to the premium feeling. It's worth noting that the shape is a Japanese-inflected version of the classic Western knife shape. Western chef's knives have a rounded front and are normally used by rocking them on the chopping surface. The classic Japanese shape is mostly straight and often has only a single bevelled edge. You use Japanese knives in a downward slice. This knife is mostly like the Western shape, but it is substantially less curvature to it. I personally had literally zero friction to switching cutting styles, but of course your milage may vary.

Amazing knife.
Super nice to use, sharp out of the box and easily maintained with a steel, sharpest knife I've ever owned

Excellent all round Chef knife with great looks
This is a great Chefs knife. Superb balance, nice lines and razor sharp. The edge just keeps on going unlike several 'prettier' knives I own, and the weight is just on the heavy side which gives the knife a very solid feel. The scalloped blade makes a noticeable difference. This is one knife that will probably last a lifetime. Took some time to arrive but was worth the wait.

A nice product which does the job very well
This is an excellent chefs knife which arrives very sharp. The weight and design are both good, although for the price I would in future go for a slightly better known Japanese knife because at this price point it competes with some other very good brands .

wusthof and several other fairly high end knives for my money this is by far the best performing and comfortable to use for hour
Owning Global, wusthof and several other fairly high end knives for my money this is by far the best performing and comfortable to use for hours on end in a professional kitchen. A knife if obviously a personal thing and for me this one is the nuts.
