It said the wells are deep but they are not that deep maybe could have done with two large wells in the middle

I have several of these palettes I have been using them for years, bought mine from Amazon too. I find them very useful to keep my tubed watercolour paints while I paint. They pans can be closed once the paint is dry. They are quite hermetic so they protectect the paints inside from dust and later can be activated easily. Make sure you paints are fully dried before closing it and storing. I'd you put some wax paper on each well you can also keep guache if you add a drop of acrylic wetting agent to the paint. However this particular brand is much smaller and less sturdy than the ones I previously bought on Amazon. The material seems more brittle and I suspect the would crack if dropped. But they take less space easier in your luggage when you travel. But be mindful not to place them against hard objects or to close to the outer walls of you luggage where they might be crushed and fracture. I place mine in a couple ziplock bags when I fly.
