Powerful clean sound, no pops, versatile amplifier
This amplifier has loads of improvements over other similar amplifiers:- Beautiful Solid case work with sufficient size and spacing between connectors- Very powerful and clean sound with +6dB gain for RCA connection- Active subwoofer output with low pass filter adjustment- Mono full-range amplifier and sub-woofer amp modes- 12v trigger inputs works well with my DACImprovements:- No pop sound on power on/off, every other amp has this issue but not this one- Does not heat up like others, somehow better thermal performance- Good quality speaker connectors, I am using 12 AWG wires without any issuesHIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Serious power for the size; the sub frequency knob is great
This is a mono (1-channel) audio power amplifier, but provides one full-range speaker 50-watt powered low-level output, and one subwoofer passive (mono RCA) output. I hooked it up in concert (Daisy-chained) with another 2.1 channel amplifier, and it sounds amazing, when I synced the timing.

Great product
Although I didn’t use it, it arrived on time. I opened it up and it was sturdier built. I only returned it because I wanted my preamp to match my fosi amp.

A definite contender, as a passive subwoofer amp & crossover
[edit: I misspoke, the 12v trigger, handshaking issue is with my WiiM Ultra]There's a lot to like about the Aiyima A70 mono. The build quality is 5/5: it has heft & excellent heat dissipation. Thanks to the well thought out, large contact point, between the underside of the board and the case. Making the case the heatsink; just like its closest competitor. But unlike the other company's dedicated mono block (not the one pictured), this unit doesn't require fans, to keep it from having a core melt down (I'm exaggerating, of course, . . . kinda). There are two points that I don't see being well publicized:1. Both front dials are indexed (+)2. The 12v trigger has some handshaking issues with the ZA3 (-), confirmed by Aiyima and unfortunately, that last point keeps the A70 mono from being part of my audio chain.

Excellent amplifier. Meets or exceeds marketing statistics and has cool features!
Electronics engineer's review will be coming soon (tm)As a consumer, the A70 just works. It is a great amplifier with some really cool features I never knew I needed. As far as I can tell, it meets or exceeds all its specifications for TDP, power output etc. I will be evaluating this in more detail under different loads at a future date so for now I will cover more of the cool features:1. XLR is a nice to have. I don't personally have any in my setup but occasionally I have used it for odd or specific setups.2. The +6db is REALLY nice. Some audio sources are really quiet. The worst offender is an LG TV that automatically drops the volume every 30 minutes if you set it above a certain level in the UI. The trouble is, the TV doesn't actually know how loud the room is so this may be going from a comfortable volume to nearly silent. The +6db allows you to get the full range out if this amp with such sources.3. The built in crossover is cool. Not used as I have a full equalizer for room calibration but I can think of times it would be useful.4. The 12V trigger is awesome! I cannot wait to build a custom controller for this that allows it to be switched on and off with the rest of my setup to allow for energy savings.I really only have two gripes:1. AIYIMA already has a product with the name "A70" which could be confusing. They also advertise this as being used for 7.1 surround setups, but having 8 of this seems like it would require excessive tinkering to get a room to sound good compared to an all-in-one receiver that is programmable.

Tiny but efficient!
Works like a champ. Needed a little nudge for my passive sub in bedroom. Fits the requirement with ample options!

Very low power in subwoofer mode
I was completely puzzled by this (mono/sub) amp as in passive subwoofer mode it barely output even 10w power at max volume and max filter settings. The same RCA input on Fosi Audio TP-02(sun amp) was working perfectly fine and was plenty of lows at just 10 o'clock volume position. I also tried Fosi Audio M03(mono/sub with more power on the paper) and it was not as powerful as TP-02, so volume was at 11 o'clock position to have the same lows output. I was looking for sub amp with trigger to automate on/off, but no luck with this one.

Perfect feature for a mono block amplifier
Perfect feature for a mono block amplifier! Capable of connecting two subwoofers.
