Norse Mythology [All-in-1]: The Epic Saga of the Gods, Goddesses, Heroes, and Creatures in Ancient Northern Legends. Discover the Tales of Origin, Beliefs, & Myths in Nordic Folklore Review: My review - So I just finished this book and wanted to share my thoughts. Apologies if this turns out to be a bit long, but there's a lot to say! First off, Norse Mythology [All in 1] by Magnus Borgerson is a simple and comprehensive overview about Norse myths, and I was honestly blown away by how much ground it covers. If you've ever been curious about these ancient stories or only know the pop-culture versions, this book is a real eye-opener. The introduction sets the stage perfectly, explaining how modern media often oversimplifies these myths. Borgerson makes it clear that his goal is to bring us back to the original roots—what these myths truly meant in their historical and cultural context. One of the highlights for me was Chapter 1, where Borgerson breaks down the creation myth and the structure of the Norse universe. Ginnungagap (the void) and Yggdrasil (the world tree) are central to understanding the entire mythological framework. He explains the Nine Worlds in a way that makes you feel like you're there, standing under Yggdrasil with the gods and giants. Then there's Chapter 2, which explores the Aesir and Vanir, two groups of gods that I had heard of but didn’t know much about. Borgerson does a good job of explaining the nuances between them and giving you a feel for the power dynamics at play. What really kept me hooked, though, was Chapter 5, where the book dives into some of the darker myths—Loki’s betrayal, the death of Balder, and the inescapable fate of Ragnarok. There’s betrayal, loss, and destiny that even the gods can't escape from. It really makes you think about how deeply the Norse people viewed fate. In Chapter 7, he explains the actual rituals and daily life practices of Norse people. This part was so fascinating because you see how these myths weren’t just stories; they shaped how people lived, prayed, and saw the world. The final chapter talks about the modern revival of Norse paganism. I had no idea there was a resurgence of these ancient beliefs in modern times. Borgerson handles this topic really thoughtfully, acknowledging both the positives and the controversies around the movement today. So, I walked away with a whole new appreciation for Norse mythology. The book is incredibly well-researched and structured, yet simple - it never feels like an academic textbook. It’s super approachable, even if you're completely new to the subject. The balance between myth, history, and modern interpretation is just perfect. I would highly recommend Norse Mythology [All in 1] to anyone interested in mythology, history, or even just a good story. The myths are rich and complex, and this book brings them to life in a way that’s both educational and deeply engaging. (Here's a quick pic of the book that I snapped) Review: A Great Guide Through Time and Myths - If you're curious about Norse mythology but find it a bit overwhelming, this book is perfect for you. The writing is smooth and easy to follow, making it great for both newcomers and those who know a bit about it already. Each chapter helps you connect the dots between gods, giants, and heroes without feeling lost. It's not just informative; it's a fun adventure that encourages you to dive into ancient legends while connecting them to modern ideas. You'll find yourself eagerly turning pages as you discover the cultural and historical importance behind these timeless stories.

An original narrative
This mythological book gives us a better understanding of how mythology works. It is an interesting read and the author speaks bluntly, and he educates us. This makes us feel as if we knew him. Those who are not so into the theme would also love this well-crafted and original narrative.

Very Informative.
I gave this book along with another on Norse Mythology to my son as part of his birthday gifts this year. He has always been fascinated by this subject and when he looked through this particular book, he was excited that information on the runes was included. He talked about it the rest of the day, along with his t-shirt and other Norse book. I’d say it was a good choice. I recommend it.
