Are these of real quality? I asked as I paid £150.00 for my 12" Cooks knife?

I got these for my partners son as he is training to be a chef. He seems to think they work great albiet not in the same class as some of the other crazy priced (but amazing) knives. They are still well ahead of entry level knives. When he asked for a set of good quality knives we did hold our breath hoping he wasnt looking to carve himself out a career as a serial killer,, , thankfully he whipped out some cookery books in January and got cracking. We are all relaxed again :-) I hope this helps.

maybe i didnt describe it properly in my review. the metal prong on the fork broke off into the food which was discovered when a lady found it in her mouth when eating, the metal on the prongs is likely to break off at the point as it seems to be brittle and not to standard required for the purpose.

what finish are the handles? as i want smooth ones not ones with grip!

bought them for my son 's college course, yes they do need sharpened occasionally but so do most knives he isw happy and his lecturer says they were a good set. no compliants here
