I put these in three of my 500w cheap halogen outdoor garage lights. These things are huge and I had to take the reflector out of my fixtures and then take one terminal out insert the bulb and then put the other terminal in. They barely fit but they did fit and do work amazingly well. I had to leave the reflectors out but with the LED design they don’t need them anymore.

We have 14 of these bulbs working for us in our sanctuary. We are not sure they are quite as bright as advertised. Also there is a small perceptible flicker in the bulbs running on our standard dimmer and we haven't yet found a way to make it go away.Update 12/21/2019: We replaced the dimming modules which weren't designed for LED lights and now they work very well. We are now using the Lutron PHPM-WBX-DV-WH Power Mod Phase Adapter White (recommended by Lutron) available on Amazon with a Lutron dimmer and these LED lights now meet all our expectations. They dim smoothly and provide the light we needed. The difficulty was finding an electrician who understood how to install the module.
