Great for EDC
So I have sung the praises in another review of the Miguron ; however, this is also my favorite knife, but for other reasons starting with the handle. I purchased the black micarta version, which I really like. I like micarta and theirs has a good balance of grippiness without feeling rough. The pocket clip is OK. It’s not my favorite, but it works well enough. It clips well and does not slide around. It doesn’t grab fabric too badly. I can easily wear these in a pair of gym shorts and not have any problems. I like that the blade on this is 154 CM, which is a very good semi-high-end steel. I love the blade style of this. It’s a very good utilitarian blade. I actually like using this at work, just the nature of what I do, having to cut products off of rollers. This works very well. The ergonomics on this knife are absolutely spectacular with the slightly up, raised handle. It allows your hand to just fit right up and choke up is a breeze. There’s plenty of jimping along the spine in several locations, which allows you to use several different grips without worrying about slipping off. Now, to be honest, I purchased this mostly because I have bulldogs. I like bulldogs. I purchased the Sheepdog. I really like that, but overall, I actually really do like this knife. It’s a great utility knife, great for everyday tasks that most people are going to perform that may not be super steel, but it’ll hold an edge long enough. It’s not terribly bad to sharpen this. The crossbar lock or whatever Kizer call it is one of my favorites. The tension on this one is set perfectly at least for me. Deployment is very easy with the thumb studs, and it closes very smoothly. This is probably one of the best crossbar lock knives that I’ve purchased. I’m thinking about purchasing another one just in case this model disappears. If they made one with S45, Magnacut cut or M3 90 as a higher-end version, I would definitely buy it. This is a fantastic everyday carry knife. Go get one.

This Knife is Insanely Good
This is my favorite pocket knife of all time. Even putting it up against some of my favorite Spydercos like the Para 3, Shaman, and Manix 2, I just find myself reaching for this one every time. The ergos are insanely good. The handle just disappears in your hand, and is equally comfortable in both hammer and reverse grip. The action and detent out of the box are absolutely flawless - far better than one would expect from a knife at this price point. The blade comes with a good edge and is very slicey. The few things I'd change about this knife in a perfect world:- I'd like to see a version with a slightly longer blade, maybe an extra .25"-.35"- A top liner button lock as it was originally prototyped by the knife's designer- A more premium blade steel- Slightly more aggressive jimpingI'd happily pay double the price or more for those features.I really hope Kizer continues to iterate on this design because it's a winner. If you're on the fence about it, you should 100% buy one.

Sharp, tight, and slick
I love the sheepfoot blade shape and it came incredibly sharp from the factory. Lockup is super tight, no wiggle in the blade. The flipper is smooth and locks into place with a reassuring click, and the handle looks and feels great in hand. This is a great knife for everyday carry activities and is wonderful as a fidget knife with its clutch lock action.

Not as good as the uncoated version
I bought the original bulldog in micarta and satin and I have to say, the action on that variant was much better. This is still a decent knife. It's very good looking and has amazing ergos. Mine came plenty sharp and the fit and finish are excellent as per usual with Kizer knifes. The thumb studs are larger than the previous models which will be better for some people. There cross bar lock is adjustable and easy to operate. The opening and closing action is just a little sluggish, hopefully it breaks in. Unless you are set on the black coated blade, by the other versions.

Fatal Flaw Meets Finger
That is overall a nice knife. Solid, well built, interesting yet functional blade shape. It has one fatal flaw though... There is a very sharp corner where your index finger naturally wants to go, and there is no blunt choil or handle nubbin to orient you there, so it wasn't a few hours until I had a fairly deep, messy cut.Nothing a few field steristrips and some glue couldn't control, but probably could have taken a single stitch. It's kind of a fatal design flaw. I have many folders, and my pocket clipped one come out about 10x per day in real world tasks. Just grab, flick open, cut, close and re-clip in quick action. But you'd better go slow and careful with this one though, or you are going to bleed.Otherwise a 4.8/5 knife. Maybe compare to similar ones like the Sheepdog, or SOG Kiku if you like the general idea of this one. They give your index finger a little more protection and blind orientation. Here is the Bulldog size compared to the Spyderco Pacific Salt and Tasman Salt in the pics.
