Highly recommended for anybody who travels with a legacy computer.
I have almost a dozen legacy laptops that use different barrel-tip chargers. My wonderful old external Anker barrel-tip charger has given up the ghost. All laptops and phones these days use USB-C tips to charge.Nobody makes external barrel-tip external batteries, and they are almost unavailable on eBay. This meant that I had to travel with plug-in adapters when using a legacy laptop, which is a problem when you don't have access to a power socket.Several years ago, I wanted to buy a USB-C to barrel tip adapter, but they weren't yet available. As they are now relatively available and relativey cheap, I bought a small selection, as barrel-tips come in so many lengths and diameters.Tried one, which did ineed seated nice into the USB-C male tip and nicely in the computer charge port. Unfortunately, it didn't charge.Tried the second adapter (4.5 x 3.0mm) and it worked like a charm. I felt so happy to the battery icon suddenly display the plug icon. Now I only need a small number of adapters and external USB-C battery (which have shrank and their storage capacity grown by several orders of magnitude in the last thirty years) to travel anywhere without an power block.Highly recommended for anybody who travels with a legacy computer.

Connect laptop to docking
Does exactly what I needed. Now I can charge my laptop from the docking hub without extra cables.

Good little USB barrel adapter.
Great little plug, have it to replace the power cable for one of my ethernet switches. That is a very low powered device, so It isn't making use of the full 20V, but the 5V ethernet switch works fine so far. Great to put into a USB brick with multiple plugs, as opposed to a socket being taken up just powering the switch.Great little device, right angle connector is great too, makes it really easy to use with any USB cable you may have.Top little device, can't knock it.

Does not work
The adapter consistently fails to maintain its nominal voltage, leading to frequent charging interruptions. This issue persisted across three different USB-C chargers and three separate PCs. Furthermore, the problem occurred with both the 7.4 mm and 4.5 mm diameter plugs I purchased. These results strongly suggest a fundamental design flaw rather than an isolated defect, as the issue is replicated across multiple units and configurations.

Not cheap
20v USB Type C power Adapter with DC 4.0x1.7mm Adapter, Male to DC Female 12V 19V 20V Adapter, USB C to DC 4.0x1.7mm Adapter Adapter made for Lenovo Ideapad Yoga Laptop Series @ ~ £6.50Yep all worked fine. All I can say it is not cheap. I would want to pay that £6.50 for a pair not just one. Otherwise build quality etc is just fine.Hope that helps

Angle makes it easy to use
I picked up this Type C to DC plug adapter mainly to use with my older Asus laptop and a few other DC-powered devices. For the most part, it does what it says. The 5.5x2.5mm plug fits well into my devices, and it’s been convenient having a USB-C option for power, especially as more of my cables and power banks have moved to USB-C.In terms of functionality, it seems to handle lower-powered devices fine, like my router and printer. However, when I tried it with the laptop, I noticed it wasn’t delivering the same consistent power as the original adapter, especially when the laptop was running more intensive tasks. It worked for basic charging, but I wouldn’t rely on it for heavy usage without checking the power output limits closely.I appreciate the versatility since I can also use it with my solar generator on camping trips. Overall, it’s a useful adapter for casual use with DC-powered devices, especially if you need a backup or travel option. Just make sure the device requirements match what this adapter can handle to avoid any underperformance.
